Why Your Mom’s Advice ROCKS and Helped You Be a Better Designer

By Kathleen Burns , May 9 2014

Your mother is an important part of your life when you are growing up and she had a hand in everything you did from getting you to brush your teeth and making you do your homework, to teaching you manners and how to stand up for yourself. Your mom always has something to say or is ready with a piece of advice to hand out to you that she feels will help improve your quality of life even when you are an adult.

Your professional habits and work ethics come from your mother, and even though you don’t realize it, your mother has helped you be a better graphic designer with her advice. Come on, admit it!

Mother’s Day turns 100 this year, and to honor it, I’ve decided to pass down the advice my mother gave to me that I’m sure your mother has said to you too. Thanks Mom!
