They are so culturally relevant and humorous that it\u2019s hard not to appreciate them. Plus they are short and to the point which is great considering the attention span (think pea) most digital age viewers have. I found these great memes that will really \u2018talk\u2019 to most graphic designers they describe quite accurately I think, the problems most designers face when dealing with the clients.<\/p>\n<h2>Updated 10\/10\/2016<\/h2>\n<p>The best way to attract designers and clients alike is to stir up controversies. Graphic design memes usually poke finger into topics that fire up graphic designers. The most well-known series to date is about the client and graphic designer relationship. These memes which I\u2019m about to share went viral across the web.<\/p>\n<h2>1. What sort of a world are designers living in? Poor creative minds spend their time to make a logo for a company that\u2019ll soon make them thousands of dollars, and they can\u2019t even ask for a teeny tiny amount for their service. These few changes are more than five for sure. At the end of the \u2018list of changes\u2019, the entire project is changed. Don\u2019t you just feel like banging your head on your computer before even trying to make these so called \u201cfew\u201d changes.<\/p>\n<h2>3. I would like something really different, unique. Hold on. \u201cWhat exactly do you want me to do?\u201d is what comes to graphic designer\u2019s mind when this conversation takes place. The worst thing a client can say is to make a design like someone else\u2019s. Yes graphic designers can take inspiration but making a replica is a sin. No matter how much your client urges you to copy, you just can\u2019t do this \u2013 it will ruin your portfolio and the next meme series will be on you copying designs. That\u2019ll be a torture.<\/p>\n<h2>5. They can get their work done from cheap from someone else. The question is, why on earth did the client waste your time? The moment you read such a reply to your quote email, I\u2019m sure you feel like getting off your chair and pretending like all of this never happened.<\/p>\n<h2>6. You know someone who will do it cheaper&#8230;try it&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/AdviceAnimals\/comments\/3pihjd\/that_what_happen_when_you_hire_cheep\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3120 lazyload\" title=\"Someone Who Will Do It Cheaper\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.zilliondesigns.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/someone-who-will-do-it-cheaper.jpg\" alt=\"Someone Who Will Do It Cheaper\" width=\"396\" height=\"306\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 396px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 396\/306;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can get a cheap solution but you cannot guarantee the quality, or the fact that it isn\u2019t plagiarized. If clients are this tight on budget, why can\u2019t they use free DIY tools and make the design themselves. This way they don\u2019t have to pay anything and they\u2019ll spare the graphic designers.<\/p>\n<h2>7. I need the design today? They can\u2019t work on the speed of nano-seconds to produce your project within a day or less than that. FYI, they\u2019re human beings. It takes time to think of ideas, select one, execute it, test it and make edits.<\/p>\n<h2>8. They\u2019re clueless, and by the time you finish their project you become a teacher. At every step of the way, you have to explain them things. This is why everyone should know these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/pin\/222928250284396487\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">misunderstood graphic design terms<\/a> before coming anywhere near graphic designers. Clients must have a basic understanding of what graphic design is. Yes, this knowledge is necessary.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Is it possible for graphic designers to scream in front of clients when they use this forbidden font name, or they just have swallow the pain of hearing it? Guess the latter is what they do. Comic Sans is not only old school but also a default font of Microsoft which is appropriate for ancient teenagers.<\/p>\n<h2>10. Oh yes, and please make&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hockeybydesign.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3124 aligncenter lazyload\" title=\"Oh Yes And Please Make\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.zilliondesigns.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Oh-yes-and-please-make.jpg\" alt=\"Oh Yes And Please Make\" width=\"396\" height=\"567\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 396px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 396\/567;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Make the logo \u201cbigger\u201d \u2013 what\u2019s that supposed to mean? A logo is a vector and clients can make it as big or small as they want depending on where they\u2019re using it on. For example, for a billboard you can\u2019t put the same size of logo as you\u2019ve put on your letterhead. This is common sense.<\/p>\n<h3>My personal Favorite:<\/h3>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.designbolts.com\/2013\/04\/30\/33-sick-silly-questions-from-clients-that-make-you-feel-a-complete-dumb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3125 aligncenter lazyload\" title=\"My Personal Favorite\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.zilliondesigns.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/My-personal-Favorite.jpg\" alt=\"My Personal Favorite\" width=\"396\" height=\"559\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 396px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 396\/559;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open your eyes and look at famous brands like Coca Cola or FedEx, they\u2019re logotypes. This means they\u2019re made from a font. When designers make logos that are just fonts, then it\u2019s important for clients to understand that these fonts are not just any random fonts. They are customized to fit the client\u2019s brief. And by the way, fonts are an important part of logo design.
