We wondered what can we do with this striking blue.<\/p>\n<p>[Thinking]<br \/>\n\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Oh, yes! Let\u2019s see what happens to (blue) logos of famous brands when we strip their original color and retouch them with YInMn.<\/p>\n<p>But before you see the results know that the shades and tints of a color can change the meaning of a logo.<\/p>\n<p>Why is the blue of Facebook different from the blue of Twitter? Both are social media websites. They could be ditto, but they aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>This is because within the spectrum of blue, there are is a range of values. There is Egyptian blue, Royal blue, Indigo, Tiffany blue, green-blue, violet-blue, baby blue, this and that blue. Phew. Each brand existing in this world uses a unique blue.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10701 lazyload\" title=\"Types of Blues\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.zilliondesigns.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-1-8.png\" alt=\"Types of Blues\" width=\"650\" height=\"609\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 650px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 650\/609;\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>If you visit color scheme sites, like <a href=\"https:\/\/color.adobe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Adobe Kuler<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/paletton.com\/#uid=1000u0kllllaFw0g0qFqFg0w0aF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Paletton<\/a>, you\u2019ll know that there are a gazillion versions of blue. Now we\u2019ve got YInMn blue!<\/p>\n<h2>The Background Story<\/h2>\n<p>Chemists at the Oregon State University, headed by Mas Subramanian, were striving to find materials with magnetic properties. One day, they mixed manganese oxide with some other chemicals and heat it to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The test run failed.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Something unusual happened (as they say).<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rna86okXpKU\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/center>The residue of this experiment was a vibrant blue powder. The color was unlike any other. So they labeled named it YInMn after the elements it was made from<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yttrium<\/li>\n<li>Indium<\/li>\n<li>Manganese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As Huffington highlights, this intense color has an \u201cunusual crystal structure, known to chemists as trigonal bipyramidal coordination\u201d. Note that this incident happened in 2009, and last year the scientists published this discovery in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.<\/p>\n<p>So now, you know.<\/p>\n<h2>Psychology Of Colors<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zilliondesigns.com\/blog\/meaning-and-uses-of-colors-in-logo-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colors have the power to change the meaning of a logo design<\/a>. Each color affects your brand in a different way. Just as movie directors know which hero to cast, logo designers also know which color is the best fit for a brand\u2019s logo. Some, however, fail to select the perfect color. Thus, it is important to understand the way colors influence your brand image.<\/p>\n<p>Even the slightest alteration in a color can have an impact on a brand. The story that a pure hue says isn\u2019t the same as its shade or tint would say.<\/p>\n<h2>Is This Blue Not That Blue?<\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re a graphic designer, artist or anyone from the creative field you\u2019ll know that each color has its variations. If you add varying amounts of violet and green, then blue will change.<\/p>\n<p>All the types of blues have a unique effect on the brand and its image.<\/p>\n<p>The psychology of colors isn\u2019t simply telling that a yellow has a different impact on a brand than blue.
