Blog Logo for The Perimenopause Blog

The Perimenopause Blog

Yes, it's real & no, you're not going crazy!

Yes

I need a logo to brand my blog, The Perimenopause Blog. I have a pink zinnia that a reader gave to me to use as part of a logo design.

I would like to include the flower as part of the logo if at all possible. I can upload a copy. I also want to use the colors of the flower as brand colors for my blog.

You can find the blog here and see the flower I wish to use as well:

I would like the logo to be based on the pink zinnia with the colors in the flower (which includes black) and perhaps a green or yellow that would fit with that palette.

I think if you looked at my blog, it might help?

Sharl, I just noticed something on #60 that is not on #25. The leaf design that you have under the tag line on #60 is really nice. Can you add that to #25 as well? Magnolia

Djoemdesign, I wanted to tell you thank you for your designs. They were really good and interesting. It was very hard for me to choose. I appreciate all your efforts. Magnolia

I like what you did on #67 Sharl. I wonder though if the border will cause issues with my header? Have you looked at my blog? I think you have, right? What do you think? And unless you have something really fantastic that you're excited about, I think I'm going to go ahead and choose one of the designs. You are free to throw anything else out there if you wish, however.

On #65, can we move the word "blog" back over to the left a little? See how it looks? And look, just go for it with your design ideas. I'm liking all the options.

I'm going to assume you prefer the placement of the title as it is in #25, correct me if I'm wrong, please. I'll get right on some variations.

Sharl, How do you feel about making "the perimenopause blog" font black (like you did in another design) Leave the tag line as is....rolling and with black & white And maybe tinker with the black font for the title a bit? Try a different font altogether? Maybe? I don't want to overkill....but, before I call it good, I would love to see a couple more ideas if possible.

Sharl, I like the change of font position in #56. As we stand right now, I think #25 & #56 are definitely my favs. I like the roll of the tagline font in #25. So, can you play around with #56 & #25 and see if anything different can come out of it? Just curious to see what you might come up with.

Sharl, I like what you did with #39. What do you think about shifting the word "perimenopause" to the right and make the font color all black? Like, the where the letter "M" is, start the word "perimenopause" there? Can you try that and see how it looks?

Sure, Sharl, why don't you try that? I hope I giving the kind of feedback that is helpful for everyone. Also, I'm hoping the eliminations will help ya'll see what I'm thinking as well. I do appreciate the continued effort and patience from everyone.

djoemdesign.....I definitely like the concept of #32. Do you think you can tinker with the pink color a bit to make it more like the pink of the jpeg I uploaded? Maybe try some different fonts? As much as I love the pink of the zinnia, I don't want it to be TOO pink. Or maybe I could better say...I don't want pepto-bismal pink I love a black contrast against the pink to give it a bit more sophistication. Thanks

I wonder what a blend of #25 & #26 would look like? I really like the basic concept Sharl has going, but I keep coming back to that font Gridzone has in #26 for "the perimenopause blog" It's got a nice appeal to it.

LOVE where you're going Sharl! However, the spelling on "perimenopause" is wrong. :D

I really like the font on #15 "the perimenopause blog" So, when blending the 2 designs can you try that font? It's got a nice look too it.

Design #18 is REALLY interesting. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the font for "the" & "perimenopause" It's too cutesy. I'm not cutesy or whimsical and I don't want to portray that at my blog But I love the basic design concept. Very different.

Designs #15 & #14 are very interesting. Is it possible to blend both of those designs? Like take the font from #15 & blend with the design of #14? I also realize that the word perimenopause lends itself to more horizontal designs; but can we break out of that box a bit? In the direction that design #10 took it? Thanks!

Hi Emmanuelcarr....no, you do not *have* to use it. However, if you *can* that would be great. A reader gave me the jpeg when I was looking around for a blog concept and it has kind of stuck around. The name of my company, of which my blog is a division, is Pink Zinnia Publishing & Health Communications. So, the pink zinnia will become part of my brand/logo Does that help?

Hi I have a question? Do I have to use the Image you uploaded or do you want me to use my own flower?

No, ma'am, it isn't too cumbersome. My first design (the eliminated one) was your zinnia but since it was eliminated I thought you wanted it to be more abstracted or changed. I'll work with #1 and #9 together to see what I can create that is more to your tastes : ). Thanks!

Sharl, One more thing, I do like the other design you did, just before this one as well. I liked the elegance of it. If that helps.

Sharl, You're definitely moving in a better direction and more inline with my vision. What can you do with the original jpeg I uploaded? Is it just too cumbersome or limiting for you? Also, could you tinker with the color palette a little bit more? Maybe add some black? Thanks!

Hi Shari, I am definitely open to other dimensions. As long as I can work it into my header (I may even use Adobe photoshop to take the design even further for the header. Have you looked at my blog? If not, here is the URL: http://www.theperimenopauseblog.com In my mind, I was thinking that the logo would inhabit the left side of the header, but leave room for other things I will put in there, like ad spots, search boxes, that sort of thing....on the right side. Does that help?
