Business Logo for an Energy Healer

Quantum Of Solace Healing

Yes

This is a logo for a home-based Energy Healer who uses EFT and Quantum Touch. Energy healing can be used to help people with just about anything, be it physical or emotional. The logo will be used on my business cards and eventually on a website. The logo, a hummingbird is a symbol of many things but to me, it's personal, as well as so tiny as to seem insignificant, yet ethereal, almost magical, strong, beautiful and a survivor.

The colours I'm looking at are like the colours in the background of this http://pic70.picturetrail.com/VOL1858/7889902/23632619/394316072.jpg I like the way the colours meld. Hummingbirds have varying colours of greens and blues but I'm not looking for realistic colours really , so much as lovely, soft and flowing ones. I plan to have a fairly strong blue background on my business cards though, so any blue in the hummingbird would have to take that into account. The bolder blues in the flowing dress image here http://images.piccsy.com/cache/images/23546-9ada10-320-240.jpg are what I plan to use for the background of my business cards and the lighter blue for the back of cards, so if they can be incorporated somehow into the hummingbird for flow, that's okay with me. hopefully that helps with how the hummingbird will fit in.

3

I want the design and colours to be soft, yet bold. I want it to be feminine and flowing. I want colours that meld into and/or with each other. I want to see the left side of the hummingbird as it's flying. These images are the closest I could come to the shape and form that I want overall. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150184709016980.300150.544841979&type=1&l=4ea4f914c7 Please see the notes I put with each image. I want an image, as opposed to a drawing, cartoon or photo. As I picture it right now, my business name is in Monotype Corsive font, except for the word Healing, which is in Times Roman Numeral - small caps and healing is smaller size, for example - if Quantum of Solace is size 16 then healing is size 10. I picture each word of the title stepping down underneath the hummingbird. With the O under the m, then the S a bit forward of the f, then the H under the e sort of idea. I'm open to having the font be in colour as opposed to black but have no idea what would work well with the other colours I've chosen so that it shows up attractively. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Thank you! :)

Markus! I'm so happy someone has followed my original brief for wording and bird placement. Thank you. #62 - it's really nice to be able to see what I asked for so I have something to compare my vision to. #61 - I like the bird on the other side please, like #62.

Sorry everyone, in the interest of time, I have to reply from work but I can't contact you individually this way. #20 and #57 - may I see another version of each with the bird on the right side of the words, but facing to the left pretty please? #24 - I was able to respond to your message - please see that #33 - very pretty, are you willing to show me a few more versions please - just for positioning changes? One with the wording and bird positioned like 36 except with the word healing moved over the right a bit? One with positioning like 35 and one with positioning similar to 24 but with more of a forward angle to the bird, which probably means bringing to words a bit more to the right for the 2nd and 3rd line. Thank you #35 - not sure, maybe smaller size on the word healing please, it's simple but it stands out. #36 - very nice except for a couple of things. Could you please drop down healing a bit and move it over the right? The bird is pretty neat except that it looks mean, are you able to change the eye, maybe lighten the neck ruff - not sure what would change it? #55 - great, could you please remove the bird on the right and put the one on the left in it's place, maybe with the same forward angle as it has now if you can make it work with the wording please? #58 - I like the bird, but it's not on the right side, facing left like I want to see. The wording is too thick I think for easy reading. Thank you

I'm at work on this last day, and have to go into a meeting, but I've tried to cull the designs down and get them to a point where I can start giving better feedback. Thank you everyone for your designs, I was so discouraged yesterday, it's much better today. As soon as I'm back from a meeting I'll try to give individual feedback, but for a quick note, everyone who's designs are left that has the bird on the left side, could you please put it on the right side, facing to the left for a start? #55 could you please move the bird on the left over to replace the one on the right - so there is only the one bird on the right? Thank you!

Dear Bonamidesign, thank you, you're the only person who's given me any feedback in this whole process. I'm no designer or I wouldn't need to use this website. I can't understand why no one has said anything in response to what I'm asking for or explained how it works or what's possible. All I can do is go by things I've seen online as I've never done anything like this before. I sincerely wish someone had said something 10 days ago, nothing has gone the way I thought it would even though I tried to do everything that it was said I should do for the best results of my project.

Hello I just wanted to say that you seem to have a pretty precise idea for your logo... but you have to know that drawing a hummingbird as a life-like drawing takes time... and you want a lot of stuff in your logo too, I can't imagine how it would look on a business card... we won't even see all the details in the bird. I don't mean any disrespect, I just wanted you to know the reality of what you are asking. Have a nice day

Designers, please note the comments for each number as there are elements in each I really want to pull together into one design with changes to the birds, thank you! #11 - has the shape of the hummingbird I wanted please. But it needs to have life and colour, be pretty and soft, similar to the butterfly I show in the link in my brief, but in keeping with the different greens I asked for. #20 is very feminine in it's shape...but I thought I wanted something a bit more filled in and colourful, though I'll hold this idea in reserve for now. #16 is my favourite font type and colours so far, except that the Healing needs to be in small caps and the of and healing can't be blue in the end because of the background I will eventually have in my business cards - next project. #17 & #19 show me different font placement options, which is helpful to see, #17 is almost what I asked for in my brief, I'd still like to see one this is all that I asked for please. Thank you everyone for your entries, I really hope this works out.

#14 Thank you, Could you try it without the blue background, put the bird on the right side of the writing but facing to the left so that the beak is basically over top of the word Quantum? Could you also make the word healing less spaced out, not sure but I think I want it to continue the pattern down and to the right. Could you show the second wing on the hummingbird (similar to #11) and give it a bit more in the way of colour definition, sort of like #2 please? I also like the font in #13 better for colour and type, except for the word healing, which I like #2 font better. Visually, I like the size of the bird compared to the words better in #2 & #3, but I like the size of the fonts in #13. Hopefully that helps, Thanks again

I would really love to see someone do everything I've asked for as a starting point. That would be so great. I haven't eliminated #2 #3 #11 & #13 as there are elements in each that I might choose, after I've seen a version that has what I'm looking for to begin with. If someone would open a dialogue with me and help me explain better if I haven't done a good job, that could be a big help. Thank you

#10 & #11 Thank you. The shape of the hummingbird is great, but that's the only thing about these that I can is what I asked for. The hummingbird needs to be bigger and look like a hummingbird, not just the form of one, it's on the opposite side of the words than I want and facing the opposite direction. It also has none of the colour I asked for. I don't want the logo to have a blue background please, that's reserved for my business cards later. I want the hummingbird to be large, approx. the size of #2, and I like how that bird at least looks like a bird, even though the shape of yours is closer to what I'm looking for. #2 is still the closest but there are still lots of differences even in that one. See my other notes about #2 please.

#6, #7, # & #9 Thank you for your input but these don't look anything like what I thought I asked for.

#2 in comparison to the others, I like the sizes of bird and wording in 2 better. I got my self confused, what I want to see is the wording in the lower left corner and bird diagonal over that. If you look again at the links and descriptions in my project brief, I hope you'll see, especially from the pictures, that it's still quite a bit different from what you've got. This bird looks more like regular bird than a hummingbird though I like the eye and the shape of the head that you've got. I'd like to see it at more of a forward angle and moving forward as opposed to almost coming to a stop. I don't think I like the tail curling under. Thank you

#2 oops, I meant under the wings, as in sort of centered under the bird...not to the left of the wings. I would like to be assured that the blue background is not part of the logo please. Thank you

#2 I like this hummingbird more than the first one. I'd like to see the hummingbird facing the opposite direction, see it from the left side. I'd also like to see the wording a bit under and to the left of the wings of the bird and take away the oval behind it.

#1 Thank you. I didn't think to say before that I see the hummingbird being larger in the logo than the name. the fonts you've used are very pretty. The hummingbird is not close to what I imagine, except for similar colours. Did you show the background as blue for the logo itself or because I mentioned my cards would eventually be a blue background? I want to see more designs before I start rating, to have more visions to compare to.
