It's aimed at young, female media buyers and people in the travel industry and the advertising industry. one^bird needs to be trustworthy enough to spend big budgets with. It should be cutting edge but not bleeding edge. one^bird takes calculated risks to find better opportunities. one^bird is a general leading the army to break through the lines with the minimal loss of soldiers. one^bird is innovative, decisive and bold. I would like to portray leadership in the logo--innovative, calculated, bold leadership. Its creative but pretty serious.

Requirements

Animation should be pretty short... less than 20 second and it needs to be 960x 255. What I'm trying to portray in this animation is that this company helps marketers find and target a message to the one^bird that can change a migration. I keep thinking of the ultralight planes that geese follow as they migrate to other breeding grounds. We can use that kind of imagery/ if you like. I have pictures of this if you need them. But I want the animation to be more conceptual as opposed to a realistic rendering of birds and planes. One option, then, is to capture a plane leading a "v" line of geese to a new destination. That captures what I want to capture in one^bird but it's too much to fit in a logo (I think). Maybe one bird, represented by the carat "^", leads other birds represented by multiple carats "^^^" forward? Here's another way to approach it -- a group of birds flying, perhaps in disarray, and then one bird flying in and leading the path forward in an organized fashion. That bird that leads the pack into movement and organization then morphs into the ^ in the one^bird logo. I would like the last frame of the animation to be the one^bird logo with a tagline like "change your migration" or "prepare to flock" or "the science of flock" or something like that. Most likely its "change your migration"

Luc, Thanks so much for your rendering. I like where you're going with this, especially the part where you turn the ^ into the word one^bird. Very interesting. I'd like to use more of the space in the area and I'd prefer to smooth out the animation rather than have so many stop-starts. Glad you italicized the "can change a migration bit" And as you saw before, I'd like to see a greyed out map or city silhouette or something in the background. Thanks again for taking a shot at this! Really appreciate your help.

Daniel! Bold leap forward. Really captured the storyboard very well. The flash animation was the perfect format. I wasn't aware you couldn't upload to the site. (I'm new here). T Would like to see a little more in the background is my feedback. Would like to work in a greyed-out map or silhouette of a city in the background. Thank you!

The animation is only rough, but I wanted to get some feedback before I tidied it up as animation understandably can take quite a while! If you approve I'll continue to clean it up and insert your correct logo at the end.

Potential Storyboard Idea: What about this as a "Story" for the animation. Lets call this story the honeybee animation. In it, the onebird flies across the screen, exploring. He finds the honey and goes back to the rest of the hive to tell them (the followers) where the honey is and other bees follow him and they all find the honey. You can depict this story as you feel appropriate. But here is one example: In this version, the big ^ represents the one^bird and the smaller ^s represent the followers--the ones that follow the one^bird. SLIDE 1 The BIG^ flies (zig-zagging) across the screen from left to right SLIDE 2 The big^ returns back from left to right (directly). Almost like the BIG^ has found something at its destination. SLIDE 3 Then the BIG^ returns from left to Right with a lot of smaller ^s following it to the destination that the BIG^ has found. SLIDE 4 Then the words "it only take s one^bird to change a migration" appear on the screen. SLiDE 5 The BIG^ returns to the screen slowly from the bottom to the top. It is large at first but becomes smaller, fading in size. Then the words one and bird fade in on either side of the ^ to form the logo--one^bird. SLIDE 6 Finally the words "changing migrations" fade in below the one^bird logo.

The logo IS Helvetica. Nice call! I try to keep it simple :-) I don't really have a storyboard here. I was more looking to everyone else's creativity to fill in the blanks. Thanks to everyone who's given it a shot.

great question - ive personally lost enterest in this project, i have imba skills in animation and AS3/3 And currently working on a new FB game/website - this project owner fails to assist us with "basic" details and has not recieved any submisttions as far, i suspect its an Agency job - you know :P
