life | after | bass

Yes

We are a builder of high-quality subwoofer boxes. We specialize in custom-built car speaker cabinets (woofer enclosures). Our products are made of 3/4" MDF wood, and most are custom-built to order.

Our developer is currently working on our website (www.lifeafterbass.com). Please disregard any current design on the site, as the site is in the process of being totally redesigned. Here is a brief list of some of our competitors websites:
1. www.fishercustoms.com
2. www.khaotikenclosures.com
3. www.subzeromfg.com
4. www.atrendusa.com

We would prefer 3 colors. We don't have a preference on colors, but want something modern (either vivid or pastel). Our site will be dark with colored accents, links, and images. The LAB! website will look similar to these sites: 1. http://www.activeautowerke.com 2. http://www.wheelsto.com 3. http://www.logodesignworks.com

3

There are 3 concepts we had in mind, but we're always open to fresh ideas.

Concept #1: Have the "LAB!" characters in some type of large 3D graffiti-type characters. Below this would be the tagline "life | after | bass". For this concept we would like a strong urban theme like used in these logos:
http://www.logodesignworks.com/blog/top-10-urban-logos

Concept #2: Use a car subwoofer box diagram (blueprint) as the main image/icon. I can attach examples of this box diagram, but please don't use these exact images. Of course, still have the company name and tagline (they'll just be less prominent). This concept may look better with a more modern theme, but that's fine also. If there's some way to incorporate some type of urban hints that would be great as well.

Concept #3: Have the "LAB!" letters in block-type characters wrapped around a box-shaped object (symbolizing a subwoofer box). The "LAB!" characters would have a block-type structure--basically the same shape as a car speaker box.

Again, please don't limit yourselves to these 3 concepts alone. I'm open to ANY fresh ideas and concepts.

graphicmj, your design (#20) is incredible! We love everything about it. The only one thing we could suggest is to play around with different color schemes. If you could give us a few different variations, I think it'll be perfect.

anujdate, your design (#17) is decent. You're one of the only designers who dared going urban, and it's refreshing to see. We especially like the use of the box diagram. However, the design is a bit plain, and doesn't stand out. We'd like to see a more bold design, with more vivid colors, and different types of fonts. PS. Your portfolio is very impressive!

ARdes, we like your design (#13), but would like to see a few changes: 1. Try different fonts, we're not too sure about these ones (especially the bottom text). 2. The spectrum analyzer you designed is awesome. We're just not sure how it this design would come out if it were stamped on a steel plate--given it's fine lines. Maybe if you could double the size of each bar, so that there are larger and less of them? 3. Have a border that contains all the text (and graphic) within an enclosed box. (a) You could either enlarge the current box and add the text within it. (b) Or you could create a new box around the current design. Thank you!

ARdes, your draft (#13) is one of our favorite designs so far! That would be great if you could come up with a few different variations of this very concept. I think you're getting closer to what we envisioned.

canastasi, your portfolio is amazing and your drafts here are no exception! The 3D really sets a bold futuristic tone that we like a lot. I think if you can incorporate some type of indicator showing the type of business we do, that would be even better. I think this can be done without ruining the simplicity of the design. One example would be to simply add some sound waves, or something of that nature.

ongyudicandra, thank you for the revised design (#16). Unfortunately, I think your initial design (#1) looks better for some reason.

x3mart, I like the concept (#12) but needs more extra flair. Maybe make into 3D, add some color, or some icon (or graphic) related to our industry.

Sorry Mannecci, but I don't think your style (#6) is quite what we're looking for. To all designers: If you're going to use the "LAB!" initials, we prefer more block-type characters. 3D block letters would be a plus!

JamesTeJM, thanks for the revision. But this idea (#5) is still not what we're looking for. It would be great to see an entirely new concept from you.

Sorry JamesTeJM, but your design (#4) is a bit too wacky and out of control for this project. Keep in mind, this logo will be imprinted on a metal plate. The paint speckles are too detailed and fine to show up on a 2"x4" metal badge.

Sorry marii, but your designs (#2 and #3) are too wild and not what we're looking for. Ongyudicandra, your design (#1) is decent and clean. But it's a little plain, and has no indicators of the type of product we offer. It would be nice to add some type of graphic or accent to show what we do (ie. woofer box, car speaker, sound waves, equalizer, etc.).

Sorry, but THIS PROJECT IS FOR A LOGO DESIGN ONLY. I will launch the Business Card project once this logo is complete. I apologize for any confusion.
