Describe who/what this design is about

This is the logo for a new Opticians business, providing eyecare in Cardiff. Eyecare means examining eyesight to the highest professional clinical standards, dispensing the most appropriate frames, lenses and contact lenses, and providing other eyecare services when appropriate. It will be a sister company for an existing business:

Especially in a city centre, there is significant additional emphasis on fashion, design and quality, especially appropriate for the over 40s.

The company has two names: a Welsh language one 'Optegwyr Caerdydd' and an English language one, Cardiff Eyecare. They both mean the same thing.

The new logo should be the same shape as the Radyr Eyecare logo but does not have to reflect it in any other way except it would be good if the colours were ... compatible.

Also, could you use the simpler eyeball in #14 in place of the more complicated one in #16?

We really like #16. We would prefer the English phrase to be above the Welsh, and (optionally) we would like to see versions with the text the same size but either lighter weight or slightly less dense colour - or both. Thanks for all your efforts, everyone, all appreciated.

Please note I need both phrases - 'Cardiff Eyecare' and 'Optwgyr Caerdydd' in the same logo, also they must be equally prominent, if the English is bigger than the Welsh the Welsh will be offended and vice versa!

Thanks haslah that's a great start. But the business has two names - a Welsh one (which you've listed) and an English one - Cardiff Eyecare. They both need to be incorporated within the logo. Thanks again for your submission, looking forward to the next!
