Jump Start Boot Camp

J.V. Goecke's Jump Start Boot Camp

Advance Inspire Motivate

Yes

I am a choreographer and dance teacher who travels the country teaching technique dance camps to dance studios, universities, and dance companies. I need a logo specifically for "JV's Jump Start Boot Camp" with the tag "Advance Inspire Motivate" incorporated.

I do not want the "ARMY" look. My target audience is 7-24 year olds so the look needs to be contemporary, futuristic, edgy, artsy, and hip. I am open to color suggestion, but would prefer jewel tones,or brighter colors over primary. Logo will often be presented on black shirts and needs to pop.

I want to be able to "logo" my name "J.V. Goecke" seperately when necessary for this for other items such as business cards, DVD's, etc. So to be able to seperate my name from the basic logo in a hip, edgy look would be great. I do not want any cartoon-y "ballerina" clip art.

This logo will be used for t-shirts, business cards, rack cards, website, etc.

Abstract

Prefer jewel tones or brighter colors...prefer to stay away from basic primary red, blue, yellow. Needs to be great on black and/or white backgrounds. I am open to having the logo in more than one color option for different projects,

not sure

I want to be able to use my name "J.V. Goecke" as a complementary logo that can be used seperately and in tandem to the "Jump Start Boot Camp" logo.

Below is a link to a logo that a friend did for me. It is ok. I like the lower font...kind of futuristic. But it's not clean or readable enough.

Validesign, on 56 and 57 can you correct the J on my name to where it doesn't look too much like a G? I don't want to transform the look of the font, but I want to make sure that the letter is readable to people who don't know my name. I will want "JV Goecke" as a seperate logo piece to use at times. Thanks! Designers, you have done great work and I have a tough decision. Thank you for your efforts and time. In all honesty, I would really like to have 3 logos! It makes me sad to only get to pick one. I will chose something by Tuesday. Thank you and have a great weekend.

Parnell- and I would like to see just a tiny bit more space between the tagline words as well so they are more readable. Thank you!

Parnell, I love 46 and 47. That is more what I had in mind from your design. Show me a little dimension with popping in another color or two just so that I can see what it looks like. Or any other eye catching graphic that comes to mind for another look. It looks great.

Pingu, I want to see #14 without the dancer with a font or two listed below for my name. When the name is listed seperately, it will read "J.V. Goecke". I prefer your design where Boot Camp is below versus on the side. I am still not loving the font for my name. I am listing a few that I found to give you a bit of an idea of what I am liking. Parnell-I like #43 the best on yours. I am still interested in seeing possibly another color involved in the mix and/or the idea of a "pulse"-heart montior/like visual through it? I am still not loving the font on my name yet. I am listing a few that I found below to give you an idea of what I am looking for. Validesign, I like #42 but I would like to see the entire concept in a few other font choices...more edgy, more futuristic, etc. The layout is really pleasing. For all deisgners: Other fonts for name: Soraya, Kaptiva, Smudgers,Imitation...or I really like something closer to this:Estrya's - - http://www.cuttyfruty.com/enhtml/fonts.php Everyone's ideas are great! Thank you again!

Parnell, #35-I don't like the name font at all. I need something artistic looking. I will want my name as a seperate logo piece to use as a signature and or for other things. I really need something like Mistral font...I don't want that specific font, but something more current in that thought..or make my name a more interesting "look". After seeing Jump Start separated, it looks off balance. Kill that idea.

Parnell, put a bit more space in JUMP START. Just a little room between the two words so that I can see if I like it. I would also like to see another color or two brought into it. I'd like to see a bit more dimension. Thanks!

Parnel, I like 27 sort of...don't like the script chosen for my name. I want it to be edgier, more current. I like #25 out of yours the best. I would like a bit more space between the tagline words and my name in a more current script. Can you take #25 and #27 and expand on them a bit more? I'd like to see a few other options...maybe some more graphic ideas, swirls, or some shape added to it? #25 is my favorite layout from you. Love Boot Camp on the end. What about a play on the word "Jump Start", like a pulse visual running through it? Or some other futuristic look. I like the font except for on my name. Thank you for your hard work.

I like #23. I don't like the JV name font on 18, 20, 21, 22. Let's try maybe one or two more edgy font's for the name...So that when I need my name seperately as a logo that it really looks good and marketable. I like #14 without the dancer, maybe with an edgier font for my name. Let's specifically focus on #14 and #23. If I select either of these, I will want them in a several different color combinations and with my name "logo-ed" with the Boot Camp and seperately as a "Signature". Your hard work is appreciated. :)

In addition, I would like some kind of star or abstract shape between the tag line words to separate them a bit. I also would like to see "JV Goecke" in a different kind of font as well....something a bit more edgy. I would say #4 and #7 are the strongest, minus the dancer shape. I would like to see this in some different fonts for a few additional choices. With JV Goecke written maybe in more of a "Script" look?

#14 is ok...Neither the abstract image or that particular female shape isn't getting me. I don't care for #17. #14 without the image on the left is ok. It's a nice clean look. Can we try it with a 3 color look? Maybe some turquoise or something else that might make it pop or look a little more hip? I'm just feeling like seeing it some different fonts and maybe a few other artist submissions would be helpful.

#4-8 are good but I'm not sold yet. #9-#13 all have ballroom dancers or male dancers which do not relate to what I actually do so they do not work for me. The overall layout is ok, but the silouette would have to be removed and I don't care for the fonts. I prefer #4-8 right now but I don't care for the male dancer on the outside but I am open to other visual concepts in place of him, like a female dancer or an abstract shape. I would also like to see the same basic concept in a few other fonts to see a variety of looks. But I like the general direction of it. #2 and #3 by Shann are not quite the direction I was hoping. But I do like fonts. I would like to see a few different layouts and ideas outside of what is shown above. I will do my best to give feedback as quickly as possible.
