Logo design for a supply distribution company

IEC

No

IEC a distributor of supplies of sigh, graphics and digital imaging solutions. Our mission is to be the most dependable and respected distributor in our industry. We achieve this by providing a seamless experience and dazzling customer service.

We believe in not only selling products but providing solutions for our customers' needs, which brings more value to the relationship of distributor and customer.

Our products range from equipment like large format printers used to make graphics, the vinyl that decals and graphics are printed on, foam board and plastic to neon & supplies, LED's and most all other products that are used to create signs, graphics, movie sets, tradeshow and store displays, vehicle wraps and just about anything colorful that you can imagine that is decorative signage or branding.

our current company website is: http://www.iecdelivers.com/

I sometimes think of us more of a logistics company with products and a sales team that understands how to sell on and provide solutions.

not sure

I would like to see something that could be used in a different formats: horizontal or vertical. I was envisioning a symbol and the letters IEC that would be designed in a way that could be either stacked or side by side to fit different applications. Ideally I would like each element to be something that could stand alone and be recognized.

I had played with the idea of the symbol being something abstract that represented a box and arrow to signify delivery and boxes in a metaphoric abstract way.

I think I would like to request that we have no more designs with arrows. The concept does not seem to be proving a good one. I would like to see all of your creativity and professionalism. We like bold, block fonts. We do not want anything too modern or trendy, but something more classic that will withstand time. A few of the main vendors in our industry are 3M, Avery, Roland DGA, MUTOH Printers, HP, Epson, Mimaki, Sylvania, GE...- if you look up these brands you will see a consistency in simple bold design that is not trendy or too colorful or complex. Customers that buy these products buy them from us. We need to appeal to these same customers with the same level of simple professionalism.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that I am in no way married to the idea of boxes or arrows. That was just a concept that I had that I was sharing with all of you. I would like you to use your creativity and provide ideas that you feel best convey the message of what we are trying to deliver. Our website is IECDelivers.com. We use that term to say many things: IEC delivers, as in we deliver products: we deliver service: we deliver quality: we deliver accurately (which is not as common as it should be these days).

I would also like to remind everyone that i would like to keep the letters IEC separate from any "symbols" so that they may broken up and stacked, set side by side or used exclusive of each other.

I think also as I am reviewing these initial submissions, I should maybe have said that I wanted something more Modern. I do not want anything that will be outdated in a couple of years, which is why i said Traditional, however I am looking for a clean, simple and more modern design, keeping in mind that we have been in business for almost 70 years and this is the first time the owner has considered changing the logo really in the last 30 years, so it needs to be something that will not be outdated anytime soon.

The arc below the Yellow dot stands for "I" and then "E" is clearly visible with "c" at the end.
