Describe who/what this design is about

Hi, my name is Dushan Jancik and I'm a freelance internet marketing consultant in Switzerland. I usually worked with word of mouth, but these days I want to improve my customers base on the local market.

I want to go bigger, and make my company the number one in Switzerland. For that I need a great brand identity, and a great logo is the first part of that.

My company is named "E-Xpertise", which is a mix between the word "expertise" and the "e-" to tell "Internet" like in "E-Commerce" and s.o.

I need a really professionnal looking logo that convey an idea of success for people who don't understand much about the Internet Marketing and Social Media jungle.

What colors would you like?

All of my projects have a one color consistency : blue (#6495ed to be specific). So I think blue would be a good start. After that, maybe a "hot" color for the contrast, but I'm not a designer and I have no specific requirements, I trust your creativity. Just make sure the color is congruent with my market. Also, make sure that the logo work also in black and white, and either on a white or on a black background.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

I don't know what I want, but I know one thing I don't want : please don't play on the "Swiss" local side of my business, for two reasons : 1) the marketing around the Swiss flag is too much used and thus became boring. 2) the red color and swiss flag is often associated with rightwing extremism here.

Hi guys, Thanks a lot for your participation. This contest is close to an end, and to have a better insight a eliminated a lot of projects, to keep only the logos that best suits my needs in my opinion. Hope the eliminated contestant wont hold a grudge. Thanks a lot for the participation ! @ultimatedesign : great work. Draft #60 is by far my favourite. I still want the opinion of my team, but if possible I'd like to see some variations, with slogan text in orange and with the orange cercle ending with an arrow pointing upward. Can you do that ? I also need to see how the logo would look like on black background and in black/white. Thanks a lot in advance.

@ ALL : The important part in the logo is not "E-" and "X" : it's "E-" (Internet), and "expertise" (consulting). Focusing too much on the "X" is interrupting the contraction between the word "expertise" and the "E-" to represent Internet. (not to speak about the sexy connotation of the "X"). Please take that into account for your logos. Thanks a lot. @AEREY : Thanks for your work. Your logo is for now my favourite. However, I'm not sure about the picture, it look a little like an esoteric symbol, and I'm not sure it conveys "Internet", "Consulting" and s.o. @Reykazhama : Thanks a lot for your work. The logo is sober and clean, and I like it. But I'm not sure about the "X" with the big "wave"... As I said above, the "X" is not the more important, and I don't think that symbol represent "Internet consulting" really well.

@ ALL : Just to specify, the logo should be usefull on different size, from business card to pen, to books, to car windows shield. Please keep that in mind and make something that looks great on a lot of different sizes. Thanks

@ jkdesign : Thanks a lot for the logo. It's great. However, I'm looking for something more minimalist, more professionnal, and the typography is really hard to read.
