Thank you everyone for all your hard work on all your submissions. We have done some major eliminations of concepts and would love to see more. To assist in this process we have come up with some crucial criteria needed on this contest. First, we have come up with our own star rating and here is what the various stars mean to us: 5 Star - Great the way it is, possible winner. 4 Star - Great concept. Logo needs some variation or slight work to become a 5 star. 3 Star - Good concept. Needs major iterations to be considered. 2 Star - Interesting but not right for us. 1 Star - Contains an element that strikes interest Next, to identify what we like and don't like, here are some general comments about remaining logos: COLOR: Like softer muted colors. Most remaining logos are good, but we do NOT like colors in #22, #85, and #97. FONT: We prefer softer thinner fonts. See #104, #120, and #145 as good examples of fonts we like. FEEL: Logo needs the right balance of simplicity and detail. Too much detail (3d, shading, too many lines) is not ideal. Needs to be a "Flat" logo (no 3d). Please do not submit any new "Plant" based concepts. Only exception to this is if you revise an existing submission. Otherwise, we prefer the concept with using the "Cause" ribbon in #110. This ribbon could be used in any area of the logo - either within or on the side. We would love to see some of the remaining logos be re-created but using the ribbon instead of a leaf or tree. Some concepts to pay attention to: *Using the ribbon in "white" space - integrated or "hidden" within other images, etc. *Avoid using solid colors with the ribbon because each color means something specific. *Avoid an upside down ribbon such as with #110 which may have negative interpretations. #110 - We do not think this logo as it stands is right but the idea of using the "cause" ribbon is what we would like to see done at this point. Any logo submissions with the cause ribbon will be highly considered. We also do not like the idea of having the ribbon upside-down. #120 - We are slightly adverse to a plant-based logo simply because we are not a plant based company. This logo however is clean and simple and contains many elements we like. This logo can also partially convey our message. #145 - Like this concept, would like to see variations of the same, as well as concepts provided with the ribbon.

Not sure where the bug concept has come from but totally not what we are about. We help other non profit causes grow and become more efficient. Please try and represent that in the logo. The plant based logos have been way overused. Are there any other unique concepts out there? Please try and portray a modern company that builds other organizations. We are a charity ourselves as well though.

To help everyone, we've soured the web and found a nice list of logos we like. Many of them we like for various reasons and none of them are really what our company is about - but we like various elements on each. To help identify logo styles we like, here's a list: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRJO1jRFHqsw8zPWbtPeNq0Rj7Kd9lR01syyKsqYaA-BSpyQ1w4 - Kind of bland logo, but a good use of the logo bug within the text of the logo. http://tomkirsch.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/27-MARATHONKIDS-LOGO.jpg - overall uniqueness that we like http://machoarts.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/blacksparrow+logo+design.jpg - We really like the lines on this one. The "logo bug" goes with the company very well and the font is very nice. http://www.thelogomix.com/files/imagecache/v3-logo-detail/driving%20for%20charity.jpg - Like the idea of the negative imagery using white space to represent an image. http://line58.com/images/cache/9983d051f25bbfe50f29751fcef9e3c2d8808bd8.jpg - Like the idea of the "icon" used within the text of the font http://www.hibiscuscreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/writetoincite-logo.png -- Love the font used in this one. Very clean, simple font. https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRGw6lhNyslDVvVQXEHnmqs4gWLtnhgnR6G01ZboyLlNZBNwF6U - Cursive and non font combo. http://images.naldzgraphics.net/2010/07/40ChurchLogos_23.png - Great use of colors, font, and imagery http://gcdn.designcontest.com/assets/galleries/2734/nM41bHtsN.jpg - Simple thin lined font. Overall the logo is very simplistic but represents a lot. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gObUeFdlF8U/TwPr3d2Q7iI/AAAAAAAAAFE/Fk35MS0bm8M/s320/modern+logos+5.jpg - brush stroke look really used in a unique way http://99designs.com/designer-blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/9609532-original.png - Great font. Great use of colors and imagery within.

14, 15 and 16 are showing more promise than any of the other submissions. 14 - We like that you're trying to be creating in using T and C in the "orb" -- still not what we are looking for though 15 - This one seems to be the most unique one so far. Not a fan of the font but I can see a lot of "meaning" in the leaves, and person under them. Could represent us well, but overall the logo "feel" still isn't right - probably the font throwing me off. 16 - Same problem as the others - generic, non impact font. The leaves are a nice touch and I could see us being represented by something similar but the font is not good. People whoever wins this isn't going to win it by using stock fonts that every other logo on the planet uses. We want fonts used that are simple, but professional. Thin, soft lined fonts seem to really be whats standing out to us right now and none of these submissions so far seem to have that.

#10 and #11 - 3d is NOT at all what we want. Using your software to just render some random object that has nothing to do with our company is not something we'd go with. There is no real deeper meaning with these logos, and they'd be nearly impossible to embroider on a shirt.

3, 6, 7 - We absolutely despise this font. Please do not use it. We've been partial to thin fonts... but anything is better than the "techy/computer" font.

Some things we realized. We want "flat" logos. They can have perspective to them, but no true 3d images, or any heavy gradients. The logo needs to be able to be usable in any media such as an embroidered shirt. 3d and gradients don't work on media of these types. Thanks!

#3 - We are not an atari video game. Please try and be more creative. This is not unique in any way and is using a font that doesn't even come close to what we're trying to portray. #2 - Close to a good idea - but seems very generic and is something I'm sure I've seen before. Not unique. #1 - Looks like a law firm, and not much effort put into this one. We want to 'connect' with people and don't want something too corporate feeling, but it does need to look professional. Warm and inspirational is key.

Please ensure logo contains a "logo bug" - we're looking for a logo along with a symbol which could be used by itself for branding purposes.
