Our company buys and sells used machine tools around the world. We want to show we are professional. The best in the business. We want to show intelligence. We care about our customers. We want something eye catching but now too flamboyant. Something classy. Feel free to be creative and original.

If you go with the "Word-type" logos:
The look and layout of our new site will be inspired by this one: http://www.zacuto.com/
We may even make our site's header very similar with the grey gradient at the top. I like the simplicity of the "Zacuto" logo in the site's header. Just creating a simple font. I'm not saying to imitate it, but I'm just saying that our web site will resemble that website, so something that we can adapt would be helpful. That's just one aspect to keep in mind.
