The Cookie Guild

No

The Cookie Guild creates gourmet cookies and sweets using the finest ingredients. The two owners, Kurt & Brian, combine our love for science and art to create delicious classics, creative seasonal goodies, and our speciality; beer-infused cookies and sauces. We use the name "Guild" because the guilds of old were about community, hard work, constant innovation, and creating masterpiece level products through their knowledge of science and art. We want to meld the looks of rustic old-world science and simple beauty of renaissance art. Our logo should be able to appeal to a wide audience.

We would like something black and white, but also are open to smart, simple use of rustic, earthy colors. If we had to pick one color that isn't earthy, it would be red, or a red/orange; both of which would be still of a deep, earthy tone.

not sure

While we love the renaissance era feel, we have run into trouble with other designs being too complicated, especially when it comes to the text.

We use spatulas and spoons (modern tools as well) but perhaps wooden/period versions of those could make it into the design.

We cook with beer, some some subtle portrayal of wheat or barely could also work.

Attention Designers!! MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files. Thanks, MB/LDG/LS Team

We uploaded the current logo as something to steer clear of. If you go to the Wikipedia page about Guilds, there is an image of a stained glass guild icon. Something with that feel, only with cookies. Some tools you could use would be a wooden spoon, or spatula. Wheat stalks are good. Old style flowing banners and wax stamps also could fit. Even heraldic iconography could work, like a group of chocolate chips on a shield. Be careful with this because it can look cheesy fast. Text is very important. We want older style text, but it must be clearly legible and not overly fancy. I hope this helps. Thanks!
