Creative Brief

Logo for developer / owners representative

InVision Advisors

Dream • Plan • Execute

No

Company will lead development projects, advising owners on design, construction and financing of new building projects. InVision Advisors can also provide preliminary architecture services, designing plans and buildings.
Logo should be simple, powerful and indicative of a trusted leadership, walking with the client through the development process.
The creative element is also important, as the company will provide creative solutions varying from childrens books to architectural services.

InVision Advisors focuses on the VISION of the client, whatever that is. It needs to work for a small church client consisting of several lay-people to large corporate clients. The sophistication of the logo is important. Not that an eye or binocular has to be a part of the logo, I would think that something conveying YOUR VISION or getting things INTO FOCUS is an important trait in the eventual design

Logo should also lend itself well to embroidery on a polo / golf shirt.

Draft #32, great composition, could you do a variation without the cross in the middle?

Draft #27 - too specific with the church buildings, needs to be more abstract, can speak to development / buildings, but needs more of a management / leadership tone. Draft #30 - Interesting composition, but needs more structure to it, more balance maybe?

Draft #5 and #25, would like to see the "crosshairs" bolder, more shapes than lines

Attention Designers, MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you show 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if that draft gets finalized, each color version is separated before final files are sent out. Thanks, MB/LDG Team

Draft #19 - play on the eye is great, I like the abstract nature but still having meaning. Draft #15 and Draft #16, too much like a building.

BUSINESS CLARIFICATION - here is more about what we do. Most Overlooked Considerations when Developing a New Building - Too much / not enough architectural and engineering services. - Owner has different expectations from the design team and construction team. - Selection of a design and construction team, warm and fuzzies go a long way. Sometimes price isn't the most important thing. - Method of Construction Delivery is one of the most important considerations on meeting cost and schedule requirements. - Negotiating is usually the best method to get the best quality and most economic results. - YOU are the Owner, YOU pay for everything. YOU are the one at risk. The GC and Architect are not in the business of risk. - It's MUCH cheaper to figure out on paper than it is during construction. Schedule delays. - The selection of the major building components, the largest cost of the building and typically one that the owner has the least involvement with. - Length of time it takes to finalize financing. - FFE (fixtures, furnishings and equipment) costs and scheduling. - General Construction resources that the owner pays for that are not needed. - Time required for a "soft opening" of the building, regardless of building type. - The HVAC will be uncomfortable at first, it takes time to "tune" a space and balance it properly. - InVision Advisors has the experience to understand all of these with your project and guarantee savings that exceed our fees.

Draft #9 and Draft #8, the font is too casual, something more corporate? The logos seem appropriate, what happens to them when the font changes?

Draft #5, x3mart, thank you for your submittals. Would the logo work without the Dream,Build,Execute? The overall logo is a bit "boney", does that make sense? While I think the concept of the sights is powerful, especially with some sort of embracing graphic (the curves), I think that this is a bit too liney, maybe more variation to the line weights / perhaps some shapes incorporated?

Draft #11, I like the logo, especially pertinent since I am based in Florida, but font seems a bit too casual, would there be a more formal font that could make the overall logo a bit more corporate?

Draft #12, Qanda, thank you for your submittals, I like the overall format with the exception to the "crown" shape in the skyline - could it be something else?

Draft #3, Dermawan, thank you for your submittal, the logo is a bit "un-unified" in my mind, is there a way to connect the circle/check/"i" better?

Draft #4, lighthouse is a bit too literal. I don't object to the overall format, but is there a more abstract symbol that could compliment the overall layout?
