Creative Brief

logo for non profit

focusedonfarming.org

Yes

this will be a non-profit and the name is focusedonfarming.org

i’ve been a photographer for 30 years with 27 of those years spent in the NFL and other major sporting evenings around the world I’m very involved in agriculture, farming and ranching as well. hence the “focused” on “farming”

The idea is to create a logo that combines photography, agriculture and kids. Kids will be taking cameras home and photographing their daily life on the farm or ranch around the world. Those photographs would then be uploaded and edited by our team and uploaded to a website for the world to see. We will go into classrooms around the world and distribute these cameras. The non profit will essentially be an online gallery of "farming and ranching through the eyes of kids around the world "

i was on the roof of a Manhattan high-rise a couple years back and this 12 year old girl was watering a tomato plant. i asked, so you are growing tomatoes, she said “I’m a farmer”, well, my best friend in Kansas farms a little over 32,000 acres of wheat, corn , cattle etc… These kids are huge farmers, but have no clue that tobacco is grown in kentucky, or pecans are grown in texas, or catfish is raised in mississippi or cotton is raised in india, or strawberries are grown in brazil or coffee is grown in vietnam etc. They are very sheltered as to how other parts of the world produce other agricultural products.

the long range goal is to bring in corporate sponsors such as carhartt, john deere, dupont etc. these ag based companies will have a captive young audience at which to market their products to..

want to combine the idea of youth, creativity, farming, and photography as a global humanitarian effort into one logo

this logo must represent a global theme ,

Agriculture

Designers, how about incorporating a sihlouette of a kid holding a camera taking a picture?

this logo should appear to youth but not be juvenile, The logo must portray what we do which is basically an online gallery of young adults and kids photographing their daily life on a farm or ranch.. this will be an online photo gallery. for reference, take a look at www.1000cameras.org
