We are a marijuana company with a store front and we have a whole product line of food/drink related goods.

Agriculture

Retro
Youthful

Green is necessary. Suggestions: Grass Green, Forest Green. Just incorporate these as the main color, they do not have to be the only color though. I know green and yellow usually look great together. But I'm open as long as a green is there, even if green is the background.

Guidelines: The company is called "Heady's". We want a character, Mr. Heady to be included in this logo. Green color scheme due to the industry.

Please be a free thinker. Anything I write here is coming from a left brain and should not be considered restrictive.

Open to taglines (optional inclusion), just to throw some out there: Premium Quality, Above the Rest, Quality Guaranteed, High Quality Buds. Feel free to use your own ideas.

In my head I see this going in a cartoony direction like the sandwich shop Cheba Hut: http://www.chebahut.com/. With a hippy keebler elf style character.

So that's what's in my head, but please feel free to surprise me. I will be looking at every design and gradually rate them as the contest goes on. I'll start with low rating to give you and idea of what's popping out to me. As the contest approaches the deadline, I'll hit higher ratings to signify the most desirable designs. I will say no tie-dye please this isn't the 60's.

Note: I have uploaded various source files that I thought were inspirational to the project. Cartoon images if you choose to go that route. Retro if you choose to go that way. Retro taglines as well.

    I apologize for cutting this project a little short for any designers currently working on drafts. I just felt like I found the look I was going for and didn't want to waste any of your time. Thank you for all your efforts. Truly some great submissions and I appreciate the effort. As someone that is constantly working on start-ups, I'll be coming back for more logos. This was a great experience.

    Hi Designers, I hope my updates aren't too frequent. I would rather let you know what's in my head than sit quietly. Great submissions and thank you for your effort. If you're going to include marijuana leaf images, medical Caduceus symbol, or green crosses, please make them a subtle aspect of the design. These are so diluted in the market place that they actually take away from a brand in this industry. On that note, please don't be afraid to show your logo in a color variant outside of green. I'd like to see it in green for reference, but am open to other colors as well. I'm looking for a clean, marketable logo. Thanks all!

    Hi designers! Thank you for the recent submissions. I truly appreciate your efforts. I've started moving ratings up to two stars. If you have a 1 star, it just means the design has good elements in there. So its a great starting point. FEEDBACK: For the record, what is becoming clear, the best designs out there have combined illustration with retro/vintage signage. We want this logo to stand out on a shelf with other edibles so the character's face need to pop out. Clean colors. Easily readable font. If I eliminated your logo, it was just not a direction I thought the project was going. Please don't let that discourage you.

    Oh I forgot to add that the inclusion of our location would be good to incorporate (people are big on local products here). Just throwing some stuff out there, feel free to use your own mind here: "Proudly Made in Colorado", "Made a Mile High", "Colorado, USA", "Denver, CO", "Handcrafted in CO", "Grown at 5280'", etc.

    I just wanted to state that if your project receives any star at this stage it is a good thing. A 1 star is great, because I dig the direction of the design. No stars means it hasn't popped out to me. I'll scale up ratings when we get close to the deadline and make a note when I do this. Thank you for any artists submitting that I reached out to, there is a lot of potential on this site.
