Longworth Dental

Yes

Above and beyond the family-centred and eco-friendly aspects of the dental practice, this paperless clinic will allow patients to have immediate access to any aspect of their chart, including printouts of treatment plans and digital x-rays. This will improve efficiency and allow patients to minimise time in the dental office doing paperwork or developing x-rays. The prompt, professional service will keep patients coming back.

Pick two of: green, turquoise, gold. We're looking for something bright and vibrant. We want the logo to be attractive to families and children especially.

In alphabetical order:

- AUM Pharmaceuticals (http://thelogocompany.net/images/portfolio/main_AumpharmaceutD29aR10bP01AL.jpg): The colours are vibrant, and the artwork is integrated into the text, which is a nice touch
- Elite Environmental Consultants (http://orders.logodesignguru.com/drafts/display/contest/11465/draft/129236): We really like the 3D style of this logo. The colours are vibrant and the simulated lighting gives the logo additional credibility. We are wondering if a logo like this might be able to be built using a curved surface, to reinforce the 3D effect.
- Engomis Medical Centre (http://thelogocompany.net/images/portfolio/main_engomis.jpg): Vibrant gold colours, with an attractive logo centred on top
- Eringate Dental Clinic (http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.eringatedental.com/images/logo.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.eringatedental.com/&usg=__52fuLFdbqXZL-NPgEw4SnjzYObo=&h=139&w=369&sz=10&hl=en&start=0&sig2=l1n5rhnpESP3BxzClTiPag&zoom=1&tbnid=ovjv5AI6JbhrnM:&tbnh=82&tbnw=219&ei=0xOhTN_7BMajnQe1u52fDQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Deringate%2Bdental%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26biw%3D1236%26bih%3D784%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=584&vpy=131&dur=1199&hovh=111&hovw=295&tx=51&ty=127&oei=0xOhTN_7BMajnQe1u52fDQ&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0): The stylized, boxed "E" is quite well done.
- Harmony Dental Centre (http://www.peregrinedesign.com/p7ssm_img_1/fullsize/HarmonyDental-logo.jpg): The pastel-coloured logo is neat, but the practice's name is relatively plain. We are looking for something a little more polished than this.
- Medical Advantages Group Inc. (http://thelogocompany.net/images/portfolio/main_MedicalAdvantD22aR06bP02ZL.jpg): Pastel-style colours, with an abstract logo that represents the brand well.
- Skocik Chiropractic (http://orders.logodesignguru.com/drafts/display/contest/10213/draft/127889): This is our favourite. The abstract 3D yin-yang symbol with vibrant blue and green is quite attractive, and the lettering reinforces the tone.
- Vancouver Dentist (http://www.mydentistvancouver.com/images/logo.png): The abstract tree is interesting and implies an eco-friendly philosophy.

KreativeLogo: - #278 Is great - can you make a design with the green brush part looking more bristle like; maybe with an effect that makes it look like vertical lines - to reduce the cost of creating the signage can you make a design with the green bristly brush attached to the blue "L" sign Thank you for all your hard work

Sheelu: - some people can see a face in the logo as the heads look like two eyes and a nose - you can try to take the people out and just work with the abstract tooth Thank you for your work

KreativeLogo: - I found an example to help change #262 below http://www.dafont.com/pavane.font?nb_ppp=50&text=Long+worth The "L" in the pavane font style has a shorter starting curve. Also could you make the "L" a bit taller to match the height of the "W". Hope this helps!

KreativeLogo: - #262 looks closer. - Can you make the vertical part of the "L" taller? - the top or initial curvature of the "L" would look better if it was less curvy. I could not find a good example online but I will keep looking for you! Thank you.

KreativeLogo: #265 and #266 are getting close. Can you try to still place the twist on the bottom left side of the "L" to compare? However we don't want it to look like extraction pliers! Thank you!

KreativeLogo: We like the logo #256 and the right handed position of "dental" but the spacing and text size for the "dental" looks better on #254. Can you adjust that. Can you match the style of the "L" to the style of the"W" as it looks like the they have two different fonts. Thank you for your work!

KreativeLogo: We were leaning toward choosing design #249 as the winner. The text is professional, and the design style is artistic, abstract, fun and unique. The colours and the gradients are vibrant and attractive. However, when we went to get a quote for how much it would cost to create a channel lettering replica of the logo for the top of our clinic, the quote ended up being very high. There are a few things we can do to change that. - Could you make the "L" a cursive shape (see http://littleipsum.com/_/img/icon_littleipsum.png) so that it is one piece instead of two? The "brush" piece would also need to be connected to the "L". - The "L" and "W" are very artistic. Unfortunately, not everyone we showed the logo to were able to understand that the "L" was in fact an "L", and that the "W" was a "W". We want the letters to remain abstract, but to be more easily recognizable as letters. Perhaps making the "L" one piece will help. Perhaps making the word "Long" blue and the word "Worth" green will help. - The word "Dental" is too small. It has to be visible from a distance of 25 metres (82 ft). - The design isn't tall enough for the space we have to work with, and the letter might not have been visible enough from the road. Our final sign is going have a maximal length of 5 metres (15 ft). The height will be between 1.5 metres (5 ft) and 2.5 metres (8 ft). Anyway, we really appreciate all the hard work you've put into this contest. Again, we apologize for having re-opened it, but we aren't yet satisfied with the final product.

Sheelu: We like your design in #159. The font is professional, the logo is family-friendly and the dimensions of the logo fit the space we have nicely (ratio of approximately 3:1). Here is the feedback that we have gotten from the people we've interviewed: - The shape makes certain people think of the Becel logo. - The people's arms and legs are too pointy. - The text for the word "Dental" is too thin. The text has to be clearly visible from about 25 metres (82 ft) away. - The colours are nice, but we prefer the colours in #249. Thanks in advance for your help. We would really appreciate any variants you could make on this design.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Thank you all for your participation so far. We apologize sincerely for having closed and re-opened this contest. We were able to narrow our selection down to two designs (#159 and #249), but we are still not completely satisfied with either. - Dimensions: The maximal length we have to work with is 15 feet, and the height can be between 5 feet and 8 feet. - We are hoping to finalize #159 and #249 right now and see if we can find something that works perfectly for us, but feel free to submit other designs in the meantime. See following comments for details.

KreativeLogo: - We like the colours of #182. - Can you try to make the "L" look like a toothpaste tube on one end and a brush on the other while still being abstract about it. - We need the Longworth and Dental on two different lines in order to make our logo larger Thank you! Your logo looks very polished and vibrant!

ACEdesign: Thanks for all your ideas. It is so creative and fun! - Can we try different takes on #134 as we want a logo on the left of "Longworth Dental" instead of the logo in the word? - We still want to incorporate a family. Can we fit a child in the logo? Thank you!

Aqvart100: - Thanks for your postings #215 and #214. It is not quite what we are looking for. - Can you try a different shape other than a circle? A leaf for example. - The green we are looking for is a bluish green or turquoise. - The Longworth and Dental have to be on two different lines. Thank you!

MojoLogo: - The colour is getting closer. Can we try a colour between #207 and #199 - Can we try to make the frame like #199 where it looks 3-D an tilted to the side? - Due to the reflection effect on #199, the gold looks fake. Can you make the silvery-gold part of the frame more gold like the edge? - Can you put the frame in silver also to see a contrast to the new gold frame? - Can you try different takes on the text? Thanks for all your hard work!!

MojoLogo: - we noticed that you took #54 out. It was the one with the simple blue logo without the circle around it with Longworth Dental in Gold and Blue. It's link is on the comment section on October 6th. Can you put that up again, please? - We are trying to make our sign look bigger. Can you place "Dental" under "Longworth" on the original #54? - We still have not found a color for the logo (family) that we agree on. Can you look at the website below: http://nevertoomuchglitter.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/img_2705.jpg?w=450&h=300 - The darker areas of the left most nail polish colour is what I am going for. It has a green and blue in it and it is called turquoise. I don't want it too be so light that it looks faded. I want it to be bright and full of energy! Thanks!
