Creative Brief

modern/clean logo for youth group

The Forge

No

Our youth group is currently known as "Refuge".. We have become exactly what we have named ourselves...a refuge. We want to be more than that...we want to be a place where people are able to be changed by the Word of God. We are rebranding because our new vision doesnt match with the current moniker.

The main colors in our church logo (also designed by this website...you can view our logo at www.thegrovetn.org) is green, blue, and white on a black background. If we could stick with this scheme for continuity, that would be great.

not sure

When you see the golden arches, you know it's McDonald's. I want our logo to be recognizable.

Our final decision will be made this weekend. Please do not withdraw designs as all are being contemplated. Thank you all.

Draft #5 and draft #16 are both being considered very seriously because: A.) there is a solid and distinct logo in which the name can be clearly read B.) there is a symbol incorporated into the logo that can be used as part of the logo or as a standalone. This is very important since we will use this logo/symbol on everything from t shirts to church signs. We prefer a logo with a symbol incorporated that could also be used by itself. (McDonalds has done this with the Golden Arches)

Draft #14: I like this concept, I'm just not sure that the cross wouldn't be too generic for effective branding. I

I would like to see draft #5 with different color combinations. I would also like to see some other variations of the letter combo for comparison purposes with the symbol. If anyone has any designs with a hammer or an anvil incorporated, I would like to see those to.

Draft #2 and 3 are more along the lines of what we are looking for as far as a recognizable symbol goes. Right now, the blended "t" and "f" looks like "t" with an extra line. Is there any wY to keep them blended while making the individual letters more distinct?

In draft #1, the color combinations are well blended with our church logo. However, the symbol will be used just as much as the name for shirts, etc. It is very important that the symbol be unique and unmistakably linked with our name. Do not feel that you are limited to the same font as the church logo. We do not need the logos to be identical in form, we just need them to flow together and not clash with one another.
