We are a national ministry that is looking to rebrand ourselves. We are not a typical church, so we do not want doves, crosses, shields, steeples, etc...in our logo. We teach the scriptures from a Hebraic perspective, taking people back to the original culture and context to understand them fully. The design that we are looking for is a modern but ancient look (good luck!). An olive tree is a main focal point of our ministry. Anything kind of earthy might work well. One thought I had was an olive tree with the roots coming down into the name. Or maybe a stone wall or path coming out from the words or something. papyrus or scrolls is another thought.

If you have a really good artist on hand, one thought would be two trees with the trunks of the trees twisted together as one tree in the hand of God. This represents the prophecy of the two houses of Israel (Ezekiel 37) coming back together at the end of time.
Also, although I don't want a traditional "bible-churchy "look, it might look cool to have an open bible with an olive tree coming out of it and even cooler if it was two olive trees twisted together.
