TO ALL DESIGNERS: I will be extending the project by an extra 3 days. My preferred option so far is Draft #22. The chosen option will likely include the following parameters: 1) The word "Fulton" should not overpower the logo. Although the relative size of the words might dictate from a design perspective that the "Fulton" text must be larger than "Merchandise Center", the focus of this property is "Merchandise Center", not "Fulton". The text "Merchandise Center" should be legible at a distance and almost the same size as "Fulton" 2) I like the two-line style with a graphic and the word "Fulton" on the top line, and "Merchandise Center" on the bottom line. I also think that the text works best in a traditional serif font. 3) The graphic should be abstract (not initials or an obvious picture), but should have a subtle and subconcious connotation of industry/merchandise. Some appropriate keywords: industry, merchandise, commerce, business, money, truck, warehouse, office, wheel, movement, motion, transformation, etc. Please, no obvious pictures of trucks, dollar signs, etc. Most of the graphics I've seen so far seem to have more residential connotations (with gables and chimneys), which don't really apply to this industrial property (single level, flat roof, several long buildings). 4) The final version of the logo will probably not be blue or purple. Possibly a darkish maroon (reddish brown) colour, but I'd like to see a few other variations. There can also be a second contrasting accent colour in it; however, the logo must also work in B&W, and in white on a coloured background.

Jayarskie (Draft #10): That's a much too modern looking design for us, and the graphic is too generic looking -- it doesn't have any meaning. We would like this logo to have a more traditional, staid look. Also, see other comments with respect to relative font sizes.

donatpascual (Draft #5): see comment to finisheddesign (Drafts #7-#9) with respect to relative font sizes for the words "Fulton" and "Merchandise Center"; "Fulton" can still use a larger font, but not that much larger -- we wouldn't even be able to read the words "Merchandise Center" from a distance. I like your idea to integrate the graphic into one of the letters, but I'm not sure what it is supposed to represent. Your design has possibility, but I think it is a bit too modern looking in its current incarnation.

finisheddesign (Drafts #7-#9): I like the serif font for "Fulton" you used in Draft #8 the best -- the other ones are too block-like. The font in the white-on-blue version at the bottom of Draft #8 doesn't match the font you used in the blue-on-white version you used at the top. Also, the word "Fulton" is a bit too prominent in relation to "Merchandise Center". Fulton is the county (in Atlanta) in which this propery is located, and I don't want the logo to appear to be advertising Fulton County (instead of this particular property) by overemphasizing the word "Fulton"). The aspect ration of Unit #8 is good, but you might want to try a version of it where you move the picture logo next to the word "Fulton" on top of the words "Merchandise Centre" so that there won't have to be as big a difference in the relative font sizes.

Princesspi (Drafts #2-#4): The word "Fulton" should come before "Merchandise Center" so that it reads properly. I also think that the buildings on your picture overwhelm the logo; more focus should be on the words. A picture could be included, but preferably not one with generic buildings; perhaps one that connote an image of "merchandise". This property is used by tenants for a variety of purposes including the following: warehouse space, wholesale bakery, import/export business, wholesale office & warehouse, general contractor offices & warehouse, etc.
