Sales brochure for crane rental business

Central Plains Cranes

Construction

Corporate. We will be targeting commercial construction general contractors, their owners, estimating personnel, purchasing personnel, and superintendents. We will also be targeting framing contractors, steel building erectors, panelized construction contractors, etc.

We want a two-sided, 8 1/2" x 11" sales brochure. It should be educational/informative about the capabilities of our cranes, describe the cranes uses, and describe what situations our cranes could be used in. The main sales "catch" should be that our cranes are the perfect solution on a construction job site when boundaries are tight or heavily sloped, prohibiting or limiting the use of forklifts for material handling. Logo Design Guru developed our logo for our company so I have that logo in all formats. I also have font files, font names, and color names. We would like the colors used in the brochure to be our company colors if that works with the design.

To all designers: I am changing my view from my earlier post in this "Comment" section about the type of brochure. One of your colleagues has presented a 4-page bi-fold piece that has elements I like. So, instead of limiting the designs to just a 2-page, front-and-back piece, I will consider both types of designs. Please submit designs for whichever type of brochure (2-sided & unfolded, or 4-page bi-fold) you feel allows you to develop the best design. Thank you.

To all designers: One thing that is not detailed too well is my desire for this brochure to have an eye-catching heading. This sales brochure is intended to be sent to construction people who currently use some alternative machinery for lifting and moving construction material at a construction job site. My intention with the brochure is to describe an alternative solution in the event that their traditional machinery won't be able to be used on an upcoming project. The specific situation where our machine is a better alternative is when the construction job site is either tight (meaning limited boundaries around the perimeter of the building being constructed) or terrain-challenged (for example, the job site is on the side of a mountain or steep hill). So, on the front page of this brochure, I'd like something eye-catching that refers to the specific situation I described above. For instance, at the top of the first page (or wherever you deem it most visible), it might say something like "Tight Boundaries? Terrain-challenged Jobsite? Forklift Not an Option?". Then, a short follow-up might say something like "If you have tight boundaries on your jobsite, terrain issues, or other reasons a forklift is not an option, a self-erecting tower crane is your solution". Then, that leads into the rest of the brochure.

Draft #1 Feedback - I like the layout of this much better than #2; it is more interesting to look at; good use of color; would like the pic of the self-erecting tower crane shown on the first page to be a Benazzato crane; if the pic I supplied does not work, you can pull a pic from Benazzato's web site at www.benazzatogru.it - I really like the shadow/transparent effect you achieved with our logo on the bottom of the second page; incorporating something like that on the first page would further give that first page some interest too; maybe a silouhette of just the self-erecting tower crane from our logo so it wouldn't get too busy - our main call to action or attention grabber -- a prospect with a tight job site or terrain-challenged job site such that they cannot use a forklift -- is not prominently visible; it needs to be depicted in a way that the reader sees that message right away when they look at the front page - need more creativity with headings and even some of the wording; the info provided in the MS Word doc was taken too literally - of the features & benefits listed, I would only want the first 8 shown; the remaining ones are redundant - the crane table was copied out of my document; it needs some creative flare to its presentation - remove the "Why Benazzzto" section - the "Attachments" section is not included except from a picture perspective; but even though pics are shown, they are not labeled in any way for the reader to know what they are or that they are the attachments that can come with the crane - in the pictures you have shown in a line there, the radio remote control doesn't belong with the other pictures; the other pics are of attachments and the radio remote is not an attachment; it should somehow be tied to the third point under Features/Benefits that references the radio remote

Draft #2 Feedback - the pictures used are not the type of cranes we offer; any pics used beyond what I provided must be of self-erecting tower cranes - our main call to action or attention grabber -- a prospect with a tight job site or terrain-challenged job site such that they cannot use a forklift -- is not prominently visible - need more creativity with headings and even some of the wording; the info provided in the MS Word doc was taken too literally - of the features & benefits listed, I would only want the first 8 shown; the remaining ones are redundant - the crane table was copied out of my document; it needs some creative flare to its presentation - remove the "Why Benazzzto" section - the "Attachments" section is not included - overall, the "look" of the brochure is a bit plain; it needs more color, pics, and fewer words

To all designers: A clarification and reminder. This brochure is to be produced as a letter-sized, double-sided brochure. It is NOT a bi- or tri-fold piece. No folds are desired. Thank you.

To all designers: - Please be sure to read the MS Word document that I uploaded; it contains far more detail than the brief I wrote as well as containing the content for the marketing piece. - Our company name is Central Plains Cranes; please visit www.CentralPlainsCranes.com to learn more about us and what we do. - One thing I left out of my brief was that we would will use the produced brochure to print brochures and, as well, in .PDF format to e-mail to prospects; there are some opportunities in the .PDF brochure to link to certain pages on our website for the prospect to obtain additional info; those links and references to them likely won't make sense to appear in the brochure version that will be used for printing. Thank you, and I look forward to reviewing your submittals!
