Describe who/what this design is about

We are a small dental office in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. Our current logo is a little boring, and we've had some major changes at the office so I'd like to have a fresh start.

Our previous logo had grey & dark blue. Those are nice, but I'd also like a splash of color to liven the image up a bit.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

Our previous logo had a mountain in the logo. We could have an element like that in the new design, but I'm open to suggestions. I don't want any teeth or smiles in the logo; they always seem to look a little cartoonish. Our web site is www.summit-smiles.com.

Thank you for all the submissions! I really like #4, 8, 11, and 12. 4 and 11 are abstract yet still professional-looking. 8 and 12 are less abstract, but the mountain graphics look great. For those two, I wonder what it would look like with "Dental Care" in the same color as the sun?

I think I'd prefer the mountain to be a graphic feature in the background or over the words instead of incorporated into the word SUMMIT.
