Thank you guys for the latest set of drafts. Each in his own way as a different feel and this fine-tuning of your creative work is giving me a pleasant headache that will make it very hard to choose the final concept!

Hi to all, the look of the last 4 drafts (#139-#142), each in his own way and concept are more in line with the style that I like and my previous comment. That's the way to go!

I've been doing some more research and the logos that I identify with have the following features: 1. dark backgrounds with gradient 2. 'nma' with depth and body (gloss, gradient, shadows, etc.) note the following example for inspiration: http://orders.logodesignguru.com/drafts/display/contest/36741/draft/297299. I decided to post the link because since I'm not a designer it's easier to me to give an concrete example than to explain. 3. As I've been saying I want a logo that communicates elegance, neatness and simplicity (imagine george clooney in nespresso ad lol!) Thank you all, I appreciate your effort to come with a great design. NMA

UrielduBarry: when I started this project I had strong biases to uppercases and 3 plus colours for the look of my logo. I wanted clean, elegant and modern. But sometimes your creativity can put something on the table and out of my own preferences and ideas that still rings a bell and makes you think your own presuppositions(#121). #119 is elegant and neat although it has a more corporate feel, and I've asked the designer to change the name to lowercases. I'm not a designer , looking at #118 and yours, they look different to me. Nonetheless I revised #118 to a 2 star rating because it has a slight childish look that I dont want. take care

...and that's why you've rated #119 with more stars than mine and you have rated #118 with as much as mine when it is obvious it is copied from my draft #110... if that ain't hypocrisy, then I'm a slow moving train. All who copy are donjo!

Once again thank you for your effort and creativity put to this project. It’s being great to see lots of talented people and I’ve found myself wandering through your portfolios sometimes. Great work! For sake of clarity for both of us I’ve eliminated those drafts that don’t meet in some way the what I’m looking for and my taste. UrielduBarry: I prefer rounder/curvy shapes for the ‘nma’. It gives a less formal and stiff feel in my opinion. Both lack something symbolic, abstract to make it stand out too. I’ve eliminated #106 and #107. The problem I see with #108 is the initials resemble Arabic characters (I’m European) but I’m keeping this one for you to revise Dinesh1201: thank you for the variations on #60. Although I’ve eliminated this one, I’ll keep its variations and decide later which one I’ll keep. Now for your other concepts…I have to tell you that I liked to see a small array of colour in the logo which I haven’t thought before. In a sense it sparkles a little bit the 2 colour combination which can be dull sometimes (not keen on the hypnosis circle though and don’t even think about putting a clock waving!). Just stay with this note even though I have eliminated #101 to #105. And remember my audience wants achievement, they’re no whiners or stuck in the past, they want results! (and thankfully I’m that way too!) Simplylogos: still love #56, it will go till the end. But why on earth did you change the colour of the enso to gray? I think it loses its presence! The initials are too domineering and the M reminds me McDonalds. I like the curve on the ‘A’, maybe that’s something that can give the initials something to differentiate. I liked #56 manuscript font because it’s a little bit abstract and I think it blends well with the enso. Can you please try a similar one? And that one with a slight gradient and without (maybe the enso as is, no gradient). Thank’s a lot Somart: Thank you for your drafts. I’ve eliminated them because they have this computer/sci-fi look that I’m not looking for. I welcome more ideas! Aurelizza: I understand that the symbols of#84, #89 and #91 represent the initials and that ‘s a fine work of creativity playing with the words and I know it can be difficult! But I don’t want abstract for the sake of abstract, it has to communicate something along my activity. And I don’t see any meaning to it (even if I take something illegal lol). Also some of the arrangements (font sizes and disposition) don’t seem to fit for me with the overall logo (#84, #86). Feel free to come with new ideas. Boybud40: the drafts are not what I’m looking for. Feel free to come with new ideas Sniperwuf: I’m keeping #78. I’m still evaluating #77, good concept, different from the others, it seems like the initials are carefully dropping into this ring with a thin film. I’ll catch you later to give you more feedback. Aleeshan: I barely see the taglines on your drafts! I like the fonts and the subtleness of the circle on the background of #81. Not sure about the initials because the way you arranged it, the ‘A’ stands out to much from the rest. I’m keeping #81 Great work guys, I think we’re 85-90% on the right track. And i think there's still time to come up with different ideas, symbols and arrangements (logo on the left) Best regards, NMA

Hi NMA, It is very nice to have consistent feedback on designs. I used the "Enso" Circle because I feel it is in line with your business. It symbolizes "the Absolute, enlightenment, strength, elegance, the Universe, and the void;" (wikipedia). Will continue to work it out~! Thanks! -simplylogos

It's becoming really difficult to choose because you're doing a fine job and I'm seeing quite great ideas! I've decided to rate 4 stars to the drafts that I love the most and are heading the right way. I'll say their strengths and weaknesses for you to revise and improve them even more. Simplylogos: #56 Strenghts: I like the fonts used for my name and tagline. Also the colour is nice. The circle was a bulls eye in terms of symbolic meaning: wholeness and focus To revise: still think that’s something lacking on the initials! Remember that I want to be able to use the initials by itself in some situations and I feel that the set circle-initials, can make a huge impact in terms of memorability and uniqueness! I would suggest changing fonts perhaps. Also I would like you to make a draft with the logo in a blue and light gray background. Sniperwuf: #67 Strenghts: simple yet elegant and approachable. I like the way the logo looks on both backgrounds. I think the idea of the play button inside the ‘a’ was great because it symbolizes moving forward and not stopping. But I do have mix feelings about it. I think it loses some of its strength because of the gradient of the initials so maybe you can make it more pronounced (colour perhaps?) To revise: The gradient of ‘nma’ needs some work. I looked at the other ones you sent me but something is not working to give it a final punch. Dinesh1201: #60 Strenghts: I think the initials look just great even without any symbolism to my activity… apparently, because when I look further, the letters look like silhouettes of heads and that can symbolize personal relationships. I like it! The overall logo is neat and impeccable. To revise: The gray colour a shade or two lighter. Also I would like you to make a draft with the logo in a blue and light gray background. Any more ideas around this logo is welcome Hope this helps you guys to fine tune your great logos. And remember my activity is about personal, trustful relationships, helping people move beyond what they think it’s possible for them and always with a look for the future and their personal resources and capabilities. Take care, NMA

I'm really seeing some great work here that is trully MESMERIZING lol! Comments on your work so far: Simplylogos: still some of my favorites! there's is something captured by the circle that just hits the sweet spot! They just still lack something to give an elegant, high end feel (maybe a metallic look?). #50 the initials are waaaay too abstract that can jar my clients (i think it's the excessiveness of a linear and marked shape). keep the good work though! Somart: #54 I like the overall look but the initials have a computerized, formal look that I don’t like (think personal relationships and approachable) , #48 take off the line below the ‘n’ because I think it creates confusion with an ‘a’, also it lacks something to give it a final punch (maybe a metallic element or gradient?) , #23 I eliminated this one because my name is not lowercase and I want it that way because I feel it gives a more modern and approachable feel Emerald: I liked #51 because of the way the initials blend with the name. I would recommend though that you use one more colour for it not to look to bland and my name all lowercase. I have eliminated #52 because it lacks some graphic/pictorial/symbolic element to balance the text and I prefer my name all lowercase and #36 because the initials have this computerized, formal feel that I don’t want (think personal relationships, connection and approachable) Dinesh1201: I’m getting the feel that I personally enjoy and prefer rounder initials because they give a more approachable, sleek appearance. I would love for you have great ideas for that! I have eliminated #46 because the black initials give the logo a heavy feel. Think remarkable, high end, high achievers, goal oriented! 7stars: Hi 7stars, thank you for your drafts! As you can see from previous posts, I prefer my name to be all lowercase eg ‘nuno miguel almeida’. I think it gives a more modern, sleek appearance that looks more like me. I liked the arrangement of #41, initials on the left, it can be a thing to explore and differentiate from other designers. I liked your creativity in the way you played with NMA in #43 but it gives a construction company look. The initials on the other drafts lack some ‘oomph’ to it, to really catch my eye. I look forward for your revisions since I do like your portfolio! Boybud40: thank you for your draft. The initials look a little bit playful and childish which I’m not looking for. I am a former engineer and very goal oriented and I work mainly with graduate people so the logo as to have a corporate feel (trust, credibility) without being too serious (sleek, elegant, approachable). Look forward to your revisions.

simplylogos: #8 one of my favorites so far, I only feel the initials miss something to give a final 'oomph' sniperwuf: the initials of #16 and #17 are very formal for what I'm looking for, i think it's the linear shape and serif font used that gives them a stiff feel. #18 it's more of the feel I want, but i don't like the red star :) kasuari: I eliminated #5 and #4 based on my updated information. I liked the idea of the arrangement of #20 and I would like you to explore it with this minor adjustments: a different font and all lowercase for 'nuno miguel almeida' and a different font for 'nma - it looks heavy, I don't know if it's the serif font or bold that's making it that way aurelliza: thank you for your draft! I liked the creative side of playing with 'nma' but the overall idea of a crown doesn't please me much! aleeshan: my favorites so far, clean, elegant, neat, simple. I ask you a few things: (1)change font type and colour to gray for 'nuno miguel almeida', (2) increase font size of tagline a little bit, (3) center 'nma' and put it closer to 'nuno miguel almeida' and tagline, (4) i would like to see the feel of a draft without a gradient 'nma' Thank you all for your work so far!

<<< IMPORTANT UPDATE >>>: Thank you for the drafts so far. It's great to see your creativity rolling. 1. I would like the initials to be worked in a way that they are sort of symbolic and abstract although they are recognized as NMA/nma. I imagine playing with the letters and adding symbols, elements and/or colours. I say this because I want to be able to use only the NMA/nma in some situations(favicon, profile pictures) so it definitely has to be UNIQUE AND REMARKABLE by itself. It's definitely the most important part of the logo. 2. For what i've seen so far, I definitely prefer the 'nuno miguel almeida' to be all lowercase! I would like to see the initials in lowercase too, but I'm not sure of the overall feel of the logo if almost everything is lowercase... I'm eager to see your creative input.

simplylogos: #6 - I like it, it's simple, clean and neat. I just don't like the font for 'nuno miguel almeida'. i prefer something similar to draft #8 . #8 - i like the circle idea, it symbolizes wholeness, perfection, focus. Just 2 things: I think the tagline colour should be a shade or two darker and based on my last comment, can you work on the initials so to be more remarkable? Thank you!

Hi simplylogos I liked your idea #1. Can you just change the colour of the tagline and symbol to blue? And try a different font and all lowercase for 'Nuno Miguel Almeida' Best regards, NMA
