Describe who/what this design is about

Business logo for a website startup that will display a real-time newsfeed of Groupon-like deals for restaurants/salons/events/shopping, etc. Logo should be either
1. Modern, clean, fresh, new, simple, with a simple graphic or abstract design
2. Glam, modern, ritzy, something reminiscent of a great night out on the town.

Either way, the logo should be fresh, exciting, and yet weighty/serious enough to build an entire website around it. You pick the color combinations.

Thanks for your submissions everyone. We like #1 and #12 so far (could you please put these in a few different colors for options?). They're fun and professional at the same time. Please keep the "night on the town" or Web2.0 themes in mind when designing. Thanks!
