Creative Brief

Logo for Creative Cultural and Artiststic Development between China and Australia

China OZ Arts (or please try) China AUS Arts 中澳艺术

Bridging Contemporary Creative Australia & China 当代澳大利亚与中国的创意桥梁

Yes

Please see think link for the previous logo when it was called UK China Arts: http://ukchinaarts.blogspot.com.au
I liked how this logo merged into one another and signified the interconnected nature of this platform. It can be a little bit more "edgy" and less "traditional" as I am working wither contemporary experimental performance, but happy for things to shape however you see fit after reading the brief below.
---------------------------------------------------------
China OZ / AUS Arts is aimed on strengthening cultural literacy and pragmatically investigating the creative exchanges between Australia and China within the contemporary performing arts. This platform is focused on enabling cross-cultural dialogue to take place where cultural, linguistic and artistic understandings and misunderstandings are communicated and a shared knowledge into industry practices and formal practicalities between China and Australia are discussed. These cross-cultural dialogues are meant to harness and build knowledge, forge partnerships, bridge gaps and foster intercultural creative ideas that pave way for new relationships and project ideas.

China AUS Arts is focused on helping to remove information roadblocks and provide frameworks that help ease the processes for cross-cultural project development. It is about bringing together our shared knowledge and connections that will contribute to the ever growing amount of opportunities that are being offered and sought after within the industry.

The China AUS Arts network is predominately for but not limited to theatre, dance, live and visual art forms.

NB. China is here considered as both the broad Chinese speaking world (so as to include Hong Kong for instance) and the nation state so as to include all ethnicities and languages within the PRC.

Open but definitely has to have red in there.

Happy for it to be a bit abstract and colourful but clear in the messaging. I'm a creative so by all means get creative with it! Nothing too elaborate. Something neat and simple is more preferred.

Hi Designers, So far, no one has come close to realise the brief I have put forward. I urge you to re-read the brief carefully, understand what China AUS Arts is and use your imagination. I am not liking any block colouring I am seeing, definitely no dragon or kangaroo emblems (this is really cheesy). I really like the idea of China AUS Arts (forget OZ, I will stick with AUS) moulding into each other, but not simply like ChinAusArts... this is very unimaginative and uncreative. Be a bit more clever with it. Whatever that could be! Something simple and sophisticated is something I am looking for. Only include the Chinese title as well and forget the longer sentence in Chinese. I hope this is enough for you all to go back and re-think and re-design. Thank you.
