Motorsport And Performance (MAP) is a custom automotive workshop specializing in electronic engine tuning and performance modifications. We also offer custom performance parts (product design/manufacturing)
We are a new company in a well established industry, so we need to convey to the marketplace that we offer a service that is sharper than the competition.
We want the logo to convey variety of symbolisms:

- Automotive Design

Black/Green, Black/Red, Black/Blue, or Black/Orange. Colors can be tweaked, focused on design, would prefer 2, no more than 3 colors.

We like the simplicity of Forge Motorsport (www.forgemotorsport.com) in that the logo is little more than their brand in a custom font. Similarly, Rotary Revs, our parent company, uses an extremely simple logo (seen at www.rotaryrevs.com) and once again a custom font. Since we have trademark permissions with our parent company, incorporating the custom font found on the RotaryRevs website would be acceptable, but not necessary.
We like the simple automotive stock logos that are 'clipart-style' cars with slight embellishments. As our greatest asset is in the advanced electronics field, incorporating electronics into a small aspect of the logo is desired, but not required (lightening bolt, electronic circuitry, etc.)
Ultimately the logo must remain simple enough to be machined/cast/stamped onto a component and not appear cluttered.
Again the above is simply ideas, not strict guidelines for the design.
