Include this tagline in my logo.

Describe who/what this design is about

I am looking to extend my branding by having a logo. I want it to represent my name "The Mad Librarian", as in the Mad Hatter if he were a librarian who blogged and read all of the time.
My blog is for junior high students - adults, so it should not be childish, but this doesn't mean it can't be fun!

What colors would you like?

I like using jewel tones such as turquoise blue, emerald green, or amethyst purple, but I also like lighter/brighter colors in the same family like lime green.

How many colors do you want in your design?

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

Think Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland". Maybe a cute little mad hatter hat coming off my name. This is not a requirement, but just a stepping off point. I'm really open. This is the logo to get creative!
I'm uploading a picture of my face that I have Photoshopped onto the Mad Hatter, so you can get an idea of my "Mad" self.

I am so excited! Something important to know about me: I've been The Mad Librarian since I was 4, so this has been a very near and dear part of my life for 30 years, and the branding of it makes me a little weepy. I appreciate your efforts so very much. odc69: draft #5 is really cute! I love incorporating the book. Could it be a tiny bit more feminine? Also, would you mind changing the orange to another color? mazherali, I love the use of colors and the fonts (I'm a font junkie), especially draft #3, but I'm unsure about using TM as the initials.
