Couch to Half in 30 Days

This logo will be used in a book titled "Couch to Half in 30 Days". It is the story of a runner who had gotten out of running, spent several years "on the couch" and then decided one day to run. And farther the next day. And so on. On day 1, she hadn't ran in months and months. By day 30, she ran a half marathon.
It would be easy to focus on the couch, but that would not make the best logo. The focal point is not the couch - it's about getting OFF the couch, getting on our shoes and getting out the door and doing something. The 30 days is focus. The half is focus. Running. Motion. Smiles.

I like bright, vibrant colors. Something to match the cover design (attached) would be good - but lean away from too much pink or purple. Maybe more blue and gray. The book will appeal most to women, but I don't want men to steer away from pink and purple colors.

I wish I did! The final logo design will be used in the book, but it will also be used for a 1/2 marathon medal design and shirts. The design needs to "pop" without being so busy that the message is lost.
