Describe who/what this design is about

We are a British secondary school, for 11-18 year olds, that has just converted to an academy. We were previously The Streetly School and are now The Streetly Academy. To mark the event we would like to update our school logo. See URL:

We would also like a new font that we can use on letterheads, school website etc..The name 'STREETLY' can appear within the logo but is not a necessity. The logo will need to sit with 'The Streetly Academy' in a new font on letterheads etc..

What colors would you like?

Our current colour scheme is black, green, red and white. We are, however, open to suggestions as long as the new logo will look good on a black blazer. For our new website we have a mainly blue colour scheme which could be taken into consideration. See URL below: http://www.streetly.walsall.sch.uk/news.php

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

We are open to any suggestions but would like some connection to our traditional logo. If we were to stay within the 'shield' we like what Arsenal Football Club have done with their current club logo compared to the last logo. See URL below:

Hi, thanks again for all of your work. We have extended the deadline to see if we could get more variety in designs. We are going to have a student vote on the winner so we would like some completely different designs if possible. We now have an open brief and we are looking at very simple but modern designs. Hi, thanks for your work so far. Feel free to simplify the logo or make more abstract. We like the 3D feel of the designs. Also, feel free to alter the shape of the shield or remove completely. We only know the significance of the tree as we are located near a park. The lettering can use lower case letters and different fonts. Thanks Adam
