Describe who/what this design is about

We are an established aerospace and defense cluster, and are launching a new area specifically dedicated to unmanned systems within one of our buildings. There are three "pillars" to this facility: Research & Development/Technology Commercialization, Education & Training, and USIC Capital a private, dedicated funding facility.

What colors would you like?

Due to our aerospace and defense affiliations, blue and a brushed chrome or nickel look is a good color combo for us.

How many colors do you want in your design?

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

I played around with some concepts, which I have attached.

Also, as additional information, there are five target markets: agriculture, weather science, energy, first responders, and utilities. Although this information could not easily be conveyed, perhaps, in a logo...the representation of "three" pillars, or "five" market segments somehow...might be something that could be incorporated.

Finally, I have also attached our existing logos. It would be good if an element of it, somehow, could be incorporated into the new logo...so there is some suggestion of brand identification, since the entities are related.
