Describe who/what this design is about

Apoyo is a web software database application used by Personal Support Workers (PSW) who support people in various communities who have an intellectual disability. PSW users can record notes, upload documents, track medication, behaviour issues, and client goals within profiles of their clients. Users have their own internal secure messaging system like email, along with a location specific message board. Users can view their schedule, track time, mileage, expenses, and export payroll data.

It has been in use (under a different name which I will not tell you) since 2003 by the following group...

A 4th version is about to be officially released in January 2012 and we wanted to rebrand it for its launch. It has been developed using Microsoft ASP.NET and SQL Server 2008. It will soon be web browser agnostic, and will work on Android Tablets and Apple iPad.
