Creative Brief

Business Logo: Band-Aides for Boo Boos Press

Band-Aides for Boo Boos Press or B (for [*note:minimize the for]) B Press or

Yes

I want this design to be a band-aid/bandage either circle or the regular rectangular type. It is for a publisher of childrens health books, so I would like it to be kid-friendly, with color. I would like it to have a professional feel (not too cartooney), while still being appealing to children. Crisp lines and wording. This company is all about educating kids about different diseases, and helping to heal their hearts, minds, and bodies through education. Thus, I have thought about a band-aid/bandage wrapped around a heart & brain, or somehow incorporating a heart/brain outline somewhere in the logo, but not a heavy illustrative version of heart & brain, simple illustrative version; if done in that fashion. Would also like to see either the whole press name (Band-Aides for Boo Boos Press [minimize the 'for') or (B for B Press [minimize the 'for' again); looking for creative ways people may come up with for this aspect.

"I am open to seeing bright child inviting colors. Thus far I really like the orange, tan, peach, yellow combination, with some darker lettering. I have realized that I am not fond of purple, brown or darker colors for this, unless it is for the wording in the logo or outline of wording."

not sure

Just make sure it doesnt look too much like the colors of the traditional Band-Aid brand bandages as they are a trademarked brand (Cherry red wording, blue background).

Okay eff, did not know that. All: In general still open to creative interpretations, maybe would like to see some with a more clinical looking heart (real heart outline, with four chambers, brain outline, band-aid). And if anyone would like to try doing a circle band-aid with the writing inside that would be interesting. Also, some other pastel colors (nothing too dark, except for lettering). Let your creative juices flow! Thank-you everyone for your submissions thus far.

I think that special comments of each design must be private, to prevent that others designers do similar designs and do the modifications of an others designs. It can be positive, just each designer with his own ideas and designs. :)

Okay I like #4 by effstudio, if you could replicate that exactly with the coloration (white in band-aid, lighter peach color etc.) with the "Band-Aides for Boo Boos Press" written out like you have in # 11, that would be a lead.

I really do like the orange, peach, yellow coloring, I would suggest sticking with those colors. Sometimes you cant tell what works until you see something drawn out. I like how number four by effstudio is small and gets to the point. I would like to see that one with the "Band-Aides for Boo Boos Press" written out. Although 3 by effstudio would also be interesting to see captured in a rectangle instead of with so much surrounding white space. Thank-you for your work thus far.

Colors: maybe orange and burgundy, or orange and a deeper pink/peach, orange and aqua, color for the writing. I do like the regular heart shape though.

I really like the brain and the Band-Aides for Boo Boos Press written out. Could you arch that at the top and bottom of a circular band-aid (actually inside a depcition of a real circle band-aid), and have a brain and heart at the diagonal edges of the circular band-aid. Also, for the coloring can you make it deeper colors (not so much newborn, but older child friendly). Lets see how that works. Thank-you.
