Creative Brief

Business Logo, Gabungan Lestari Agensi

GLA, Gabungan Lestari Agensi/Guna Limpah Academi

Real Estate

Target audience of this logo would naturally be the mass public.

Our academy's name would be Guna Limpah Academi and our agency's name where we would be providing job placements would be Gabungan Lestari Agensi. However, we would wish the logo to be simplistic bearing only the abbreviations GLA instead of the full name. In other words, the logo is to be 'universal'/'interchangeable' between the 2 entities, eg. GLAcademi/GLAgensi. Submissions, both, with and without taglines would be required too. Academy's tagline would read "The Lifeline of Learning". Agency's tagline would read "The Soul of Real Estate". We do wish to use a different logo from Gabriel Leong & Associates. Their logo for reference however, is uploaded at http://s1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa444/Gabriel_Leong/ alternatively, you may search Facebook Pages for Gabriel Leong & Associates. Logos that we like for your further reference: Search images on google for "Esplanade Logo" (it's a theatres on the bay in Singapore), "Singapore Flyer Logo", and "WTO Logo"(World Trade Organisation). Colours schemes are important to us to avoid 'clashes' with 'fengshui'. Colours allowed: White/Gold/Blue/Black/Grey Colours avoided: Yellow(and all other earthy colours)/Green/Brown(and all other woody colours)/Red

We would like to thank all designers for your enthusiasm in submitting your designs. The quality of your designs are exceptional and we certainly were spoilt for choices. We loved all your designs and had a difficult time deciding. We have also opened up the designs to our suppliers and customers for their feedback and votes on what they felt represents us currently and with growth towards the future in mind. However, as with all contests, there will always be one winner. Taking into consideration all votes and feedback, we would like to congratulate pixelgraphix on the winning design. Once again, kudos to all designers! You guys were all great! We wish all designers all the best in your future contests!

to all remaining designers, we would like to see how the design would look like against white bg for stationaries, and against black bg for black t-shirts, hence we would like you to submit your designs in the same format as #28 for us to easily visualise, while we make our final selections. #13 the logo looks a little cluttered with "GLA" inside the logo. Is there a way to tidy it up? #28 #29 #40, we like the clean design, are there any other designs you're able to show us apart from the '4 leaves'? we also feel that the design looks a little dull against black bg if only a single colour is used in #40, are you able to play around with colours specified in our Brief to make the design more vibrant against black background? pixelgraphix, could you kindly resubmit your design in the same format as #28. it'll make it easier for us to look at it instead of flipping through the designs to see your variations. also, are there any other designs you're able to show us apart from the '3 waves'?

Hi, I have a doubt. Do you mean variations on the actual design or different aplications of the logo like on top of another background color?

#26, I see an idea trying to surface, but it just somehow couldn't connect with me. By the way, pls read the Brief on colour requirements. Thanks

So far, #15, #16 and #22 are getting close to what we're looking for. With #15 showing us the format of submission we want that allows us visualization. With close to 4 and half days left on the clock, as much as we hate to, we'd be eliminating submissions when the timer hits 3 days. Meanwhile, #15, #16 and #22, do show us more variations of designs for choice. Thanks.

#11, would u be able to send ur submission like #8 so we can visualize how we would be able to distinct the usage between our 2 entities? Thanks.

#10, your logo is tastefully done. Is there any way to incorporate the abbreviation GLA into your design?

hey designers, thanks for the latest submissions. the closest to the kind of submissions we're looking for thus far is #8 allow me to input some feedback. #9, design is clean and simple. how could we distinct between our 2 entities? Also, the "L" isn't exactly 'obvious' enough. I see red colour at the tip of the tail, that's a colour tone we're avoiding. #8, we like the clean feel to it. You definitely have an idea of what we are looking for. the logo itself still somehow lacks an x-factor that makes us wanna stop and say, "wow, yes, that's what we want". also, how would these logos do against a black background? we are considering to eventually have these logo done on corporate polo-tee shirts by embroidery, and we are considering using white tees and black tees. so i believer the amount of black that we could incorporate into the design have to be taken into considerations too. #7, interesting use of shades of blue. the logo didn't hit us with any impact and get any nods from us yet though. we prefer #6 over #5. #6 has also has an interesting use of shades of blue and it's a clever use of grad hat/skyscrapers. we're assuming that for the agency, we cover the hat; and for the academy, we cover the skyscrapers? we felt the skyscrapers lack a touch of cleanliness, at that size or smaller (name cards), the skyscrapers wouldn't be visible and would seem to be a clutter of blue?

in reply to a message we've received.. yes, it would be very helpful if you could put 2 logos in your submission. one to depict how it would apply to the agency and the other to depict how it would apply to the academy. of course, we're not expecting 2 totally different designs for each. just minor differences, coz we ultimately want the logo to be easily recognised. for example, coke, coke zero and diet coke are merely a play of additional words and colours. and pepsi have their regular, twist, diet and max. cheers!

#4, thanks for the submission. Here's a slight progress towards the direction we're looking for -> GLA. WRT to the logo, it would be better if it could be more classy and abstract. If you've read our Brief thoroughly, you'd realise we're looking at a logo which is 'tweakable/interchangeable' for future expansion. Currently, we will be setting up 2 entities first. The grad hat you've incorporated into the design would go in line with our new academy, Guna Limpah Academi. How about our real estate agency, Gabungan Lestari Agensi? How would that logo be able to be tweaked? Note to all designers: 1. Pls read the brief on our colour requirements. This is the second draft where we've received tones of orange and red (which is to be avoided) 2. Gabungan isn't the key word in the company, hence, drop that focus. Gabungan in Indonesian means combined and Lestari means eternal. The company name will NOT be permanent. It's temporarily formed so as to make use of the abbreviations GLA to be in line with the 'parent' in Singapore which will eventually take over these 2 entities with name changes to Gabriel Leong Agency and Gabriel Leong Academy. So, once again, pls, focus on the abbreviations GLA instead. That's why we want a logo design that's focused on GLA with minor tweaks for various sub-entities. thanks once again :)

apologies, #2 and #3 mixed up. #2 if covered, i see the triangle and #3 if covered, i see an upward arrow. #3, pls also stick to the colour scheme posted in our Brief. That's shades of orange and red that i see. Thanks.

#2 and #3, thanks for your submissions. Judging from the designs that have been coming in thus far, I'm assuming our brief wasn't clear enough. Logo is the key here. Text is secondary. In order words, we're looking for a "GLA" logo with a corporate and abstract feel, yet clean and simple. The logo on its own would be eventually synonymous to a "GL" group of companies and easily recognisable, probably even internationally. #2, if i were to cover the text, i merely see an upward arrow. #3, If i were to cover the text, i see an illegible triangle. Are we able to have an abstract play of the abbreviations GLA, with the "A" universally interchangeable between both our agency and academy? Outlines, drawings etc. eg. houses to distinct GL Agensi and books/graduation hat to distinct GL Academi are welcomed. We wish to have the logo, once again, abstract, clean and simple, with a corporate image/feel to it. Meaningful would be a bonus. Examples of logos we like are Esplanade in Singapore, Singapore Flyer, and World Trade Organisation. Abstract, clean, and easily recognisable internationally. Thanks.

Hey #1, thanks for your enthusiasm. That's not exactly what we're looking for though. Kindly read the Brief again. We're looking at simplicity with abbreviations, not the full name of the company. Thanks.

There's a typo error in the 3rd para of 'Requirements'. "We don't wish to use a different logo from Gabriel Leong & Associates." We meant, "We DO wish to use a different logo from Gabriel Leong & Associates."
