Creative Brief

business logo - West End Cafe

West End Cafe

No

This is an upscale, european/american, cafe/grill serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is located just outside of a high income downtown area. The logo will be used in all applications, including: menu, website, awning/umbrellas, signage, etc. Please keep colors to a minimum; three at the most. Earth tones will be used in decoration. Planned awning will be black/dark brown w/ cream colored lettering. Menus will be off white and/or cream colored. Prefer classic design, leaning towards deco/1930s period styling. The following website contains four different locations; all of which maintain what I am looking for: http://mstreetnashville.com/tavern.

Some at the top of my list: 115, 77, 85, 101, 103, 114, and 84...in no particular order. I encourage everyone to write to me regarding your submissions. I appreciate the willingness to communicate.

Thanks again to all for your submissions...these are proving to be invaluable in pinning down what I want in the logo. Please, no coffee or western themes. While not certain I will use an acronym, please use all three letters, "WEC". I think it plays better this way. I would appreciate seeing more submissions of the acronym, "WEC" within a circle with the words, "West End Cafe" both underneath and within the circle. Kind regards, Blaine

I'd like to see some attempts at advertising with the letter "W", "WE", or "WEC" with the words, "west end cafe" below. THANKS!

Final thought for now: I don't like for "cafe" to get lost between "west" and "end", or when it is to small to read.

#48, thank-you for the 1930's feel! Really cool. Maybe no cursive "cafe"...

#51, I dig this design. Like the skyline - not a huge fan of the film strip effect.

Also, 52, 53, 54, and 55, your creations definitely caught my eye - lower star rating only due to coffee-themed nature of the designs. Thanks,

Everyone, thank-you for the quick response to my ad. The following caught my attention: 2, 4, 5, 14, 15, 29, 33, 35, 36, 38, and 48. The message I want to send to my customers: upscale, bordering on elegant experience as communicated through a classic, simple, memorable logo. Please - avoid a coffee themed logo as my cafe will be serving meals during all three day parts, and includes a full bar. Stay with earth tones. The logo will be used on 3" stickers (round or square), menus, website, and awning/outdoor signage. Must be versatile and easy to reproduce.
