Bright vibrant Orange, Black, White. Depending on the category a book is in, it will be colour-coded to Deep Red, Bright Purple, Business Blue, Lively Cyan, Grass Green, Vibrant Orange. So you can use most or all of these colours to represent books as a symbol (optional).

logo will sit on white background. Prefer the Frutiger font, as other text on cover is in this font. May need to extract the symbol part of the logo for the spine which is also white background but can be only 8mm width. Please supply original Adobe Illustrator file (Windows format) and a note of equivalent PMS numbers for all colours used. Good luck.

To Lopez - your 2 logos #75 & #76 seem to copy the concept from the 2 logos I really like from CreativeAlys, #2 & #5. Same colours etc.

A reminder for all designers that the font has to be Frutiger (you can use different weights and sizes and all caps or mixed case or lowercase). Also, the logo needs to be on a completely white background. Thank you and Good luck.

Let's have some more with a symbol GG (so two Gs) so I can just use the symbol on the book spine. The full logo with the text will of course have 'Greatest Guides' and so when people see the symbol it should remind them that the logo is Greatest Guides. This has been done on the logos I prefer so far. Can anyone improve this concept? For those that want to show book spines, remember our books are paperback, not hardback, and they'll have white spine but with some text in a colour dependent on the category, e.g. Business Blue, Deep Red, Bright Cyan, Grass Green, Purple, and maybe even Orange - perhaps too many colours to use on a symbol.

I've just upgraded so that the Prize money is Guaranteed. So I will definitely choose the best logo and the designer for that logo will win the prize money and hopefully earn more money in future too as a result. Please let your creativity flow, the Greatest Guides name and the simple concept of just books/guides offers so many possibilities for creative people.

Would love to see some logo designs where the symbol is a few book spines, like if the books were on a book shelf (but don't make it complicated by drawing a book shelf), they can be free-standing and some can be slanted or displayed in a creative way.

A good start, can some designers show symbol to be an open book or spines of books in different colours as an option? I'm keeping an open mind so please let your creativity flow.
