The Florida Association Medical Staff Services (FAMSS) is seeking a new logo and identification for our professional organization.

FAMSS is a volunteer, non-profit organization which is comprised of over 300 Medical Services Professionals (MSPs). MSPs work primarily in the field of credentialing, privileging and surveillance of physicians in many medical settings including ambulatory surgery centers, medical group practices, hospitals, and managed care organizations. MSPs are also directly involved in healthcare quality management.

We are requesting a new logo suitable for our website that is under development too. Our new logo will also be branded on letterhead, educational packets, brochures, and other miscellaneous promotional items both imprinted and embedded. The design needs to proof well in color and also in black and white.

The new logo formats must be compatible with printers, web design firms, letterhead, brochures etc. We are not technologists, nor designers, so the winning entry will need to supply us sizable graphics, transparent backgrounds, vector, and well as flatten image formats.

The vision of our new logo will incorporate the State of Florida into the logo. Our color scheme should reflect blue skies, yellow sun, etc. As a professional organization we are not looking for a whimsical design. Our acronym is FAMSS. Basically, we are looking for a new branding that is distinctive while still maintaining a Florida sentiment.

To acquaint you with similar state medical associations, we have included samples from several sites. We are not adverse to having palm tree(s), sunset/beach incorporated into our logo as well, as these are typically a part of part of the state of Florida theme. The FAMSS Board particularly likes the state of California logo which has two versions – text on state and also used separately. Please refer to www.camss.org.
