Describe who/what this design is about

Has to have a cross in the logo. Needs to represent Christ and our church together. I'll attach our old logo that is very basic and outdated. Looking for something modern, vibrant and clean.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

I've had several ideas, one would possibly be logo on left, with Cross Creek in Modern Script, and community church under that in plain font. Also needs to have the cross in there, but doesn't necessarily need to have a creek in there, but might be cool if it can tie in in a modern way. Other ideas, would be something circular with our name going around it. But! I am open to absolutely anything, and definitely not sold on "my" ideas. Thank you for your time!
