Describe who/what this design is about

We are interested in a logo for a new legal entity/ institution called “Greek Mediation Institute (GMI)”, under the distinctive title “Synesis”, that focuses on the legal field of mediation and on training for mediation practitioners as well as promoting mediation as an alternative way oF resolving disputes to the general public. According to Wikipedia Synesis is a traditional grammatical/rhetorical term derived from Greek “σύνεσις” (originally meaning "unification, meeting, sense, conscience, insight, realization, mind, reason") and according to Webster “synesis” (intelligence/ understanding) is a construction in which agreement or reference is according to sense than according to strict syntax.
The founders of the company are 4 lawyers based in Greece with high academic and professional background, all accredited mediators.

Νot interested in Scales of Justice or any other typical legal logo. We are looking for a fresh view. Let us please stress out a few more things:
The logo will be used in two languages, that is English and Greek.
Here is the translation in Greek for the logo given above:
Greek Mediation Institute: Ελληνικό Ινστιτούτο Διαμεσολάβησης
GMI: ΕΙΔ
Synesis: Σύνεσις
Please note that SYNESIS in capital letters is very similar to the greek word ΣΥΝΕΣΙΣ

Thanks for coming up with new ideas. Could you, please, try sth stylish with brigh colours that has some dynamic ? we are fond of shades of grey and blue but we are open to new ideas and elegant combination of colours ....
