Halite is a boutique strategic analysis group focusing on capital markets and economics but with a salty and sarcastic vibe. We are also a not-for-profit. We produce monthly essays on the global economy that pair rigorous analysis with tart prose. Individuals who want access to our essays are asked to make a donation on an annual basis. Then, in order to keep their subscription they have to make a donation once a year. We then use those proceeds to cover basic costs (like branding) and we allocate the rest to area non-profits.

Halite is commonly known as rock salt. So we like that play on words. In addition to being one of the first mediums of commercial exchange, salt also explains our style and writing. We think what is mostly produced to the public on matters of the economy is diluted, confusing and boring.

This logo will accompany our monthly essays and, perhaps later, our website.
