Harriet Bond - Female Detective Agency, UK

Harriet Bond

Female Detective Agency

Yes

harrietbond.com

HB is a female detective agency specialising in surveillance, corporate investigations, fraud, tracing people, and dealing with infidelity / marital issues.

The UK PI industry is small and underdeveloped. 90% of practising PIs are male and most of these are 'one man bands', who are often uneducated and badly mannered. This can be off-putting for some women, who may already be nervous about calling a Private Investigator.

We want to differentiate ourself by making it clear that we're run by women, that we're friendly and approachable and that we offer an efficient, professional and confidential service.

When you look at the website, you'll see why we need a rebrand to get all this across!

Something not too unlike www.harrietbond.com - perhaps purple / pink or otherwise 'pastelly' with a contrasting dark shade. But we're open to other ideas.

not sure

Though we're a female detective agency, our web team are both male. We think this comes across in the current design and would like to have a more feminine feel to the logo.

We like the idea of a character for Harriet, maybe something a little less cheesy than we have at the moment. We'd ideally like her to be cool, smart & sophisticated. Maybe a little bit sexy in a cute way.

The logo would be an illustration of the character, along with the name Harriet Bond and the tagline Female Detective Agency.

The logo should be recognisable at all sizes, as it's for web and print. For example it should be clearly recognisable when reproduced small in Facebook / Twitter feeds.

The final logo must be supplied in PSD format, with layers, so that it can be tweaked if needed in the future (e.g. change the tagline)

Thanks to everyone who's submitted a design they're looking fantastic. It's hard to choose. Upon looking we prefer the characters that are a little less obvious - for example #4, #9. They feel more corporate and professional. We like #4, perhaps with a change in font to make it look more contemporary. We also like #9 and #10. Would it be possible to give the character longer hair to make her look more feminine? #26 looks great, but could we swap the umbrella for something else more relevant? Perhaps a briefcase or something to suggest a professional woman. #8 We like the H a lot, but could we try with a younger woman and longer hair? #27 we also like. If possible we'd like to give her a different hair do - something a little more professional / sleek. #13 and #14 we like also.
