I would like to be able to display my logo on the homepage of my site, which I imagine would include an icon next to my company's name. However, I would also like to be able to use the recognizable icon (or stylized company initials `HB`) without the full company name elsewhere.

Deviant Art has an icon next to their name, and they use that same icon as their favicon (the icon that appears in the tab in their browser)

This site itself has a nice way of using their full name and their initials in the same recognizable style. (Google and facebook do something similar)
