Describe who/what this design is about

JM Painting is the name of my business, I'm a painting contractor and I'm in need of changing my logo. Right now my logo is a paint splat w/paint brush behind the hard to read JM then a huge PAINTING next to it. Not happy with the outcome of the logo at all, customers can't even see the "JM". I'm looking for more a contemporary look that will attract high end as well as not looking too expensive to hire. The cartoon look just isn't working, we do a lot of work with Designers and as well as homeowners and a more sophisticated look would be perfect!

Hello Everyone! The designs are looking great! I put stars up on the designs to give you an idea of which way to go with the design. I'm really liking the Black and Red in the designs a lot. I currently have a "paint splat" on my current logo and I really don't like it at all. Also on my current logo the letters JM run into each other and it's kind of hard to read, I really want to shy away from the JM running into each other. I hope this helps! Thank you all for the great ideas!
