The company name.. The Bread Peddler.. plays off the image of a peddler pushing a bread cart, loaded with loaves of bread, down a cobble stone street in old New York, circa 1900. black or sepia tone.

I have a small artisan bread company. Its called The bread peddler. the Url is www.thebreadpeddler.com. The breads I bake are very much influenced by my upbringing in NY.
The idea for the logo is this: an old-world bread peddler, pushing a cart down the cobblestone streets of NY's lower east side around 1900. the cart is stacked high with loaves of bread. The feel is turn of the 20th century., perhaps cobblestone underneath and tenement /buildings behind. That is the impression... the feeling.
I believe this will work well as a black and white or sepia logo... I see it as a silhouette of the man and cart..probably side angle with peddler moving from right to left, slightly bent, pushing cart, topped with loaves, and some nice curved line overhead making this into a oval ? impressions of cobblestones below or buildings behind is a plus.
I don't presume to know what is easy to do in the creation of a logo image... and I am not an graphic artist. If you have different ideas from what I've suggested, please let me know. I'm open to suggestions.
