No real view on what colours are to be incorporated into the logo, however natural colours would be browns and greens.

I do like the logo shown here - http://stocklogos.com/logo/bonsai-tree-0 but the designer has not answered my offer. I am looking for a logo which can be shown on its own and with the name beechfield bonsai alongside to the right of it. I also like the font used on the above link, which is again a more modern style.
