Creative Brief

Logo for a PR (Public Relations) firm

Risk Communication Advisors Ltd liab. Co

No

Hello folks!

We're looking for a logo which combines both 1) a symbol or the initials of the company (ie "RCA" or anything else graphical) as well as 2) the full name of the firm (Risk Communication Advisors Ltd liab. Co). For instance:

["RCA" or other symbol] Risk Communication Advisors Ltd liab. Co

or

["RCA" or other symbol]
Risk Communication Advisors Ltd liab. Co

The firm provides advisory services in change communication, risk communication, crisis communication, internal communication, reputation management, public affairs and public relations management. However, we do NOT deal with the technological aspects of communication (we are not an IT firm).

The logo must convey trust and a professional image but also the ability to craft subtle and creative messages to stakeholders (we are no accountants...). The word "risk" in the name of our firm stands for what strategical communication is all about, namely that you should strive to communicate only what is necessary to stakeholders but nothing more. However, please avoid focusing only on the "risk" aspect when designing the symbol or the visual of the initials.

Please do not come up with obvious symbols or logos which have already been used a zillion times such as a globe, etc. Please also avoid copy-pasting existing logos as we'll find out right away.
Besides, we'll ask you to sign a declaration of transfer of ownership as follow:

"I (full name & username), domiciled in (country of residence),
a. confirm that the winning design is my OWN UNIQUE creation and the concept/design in full or partial has not been copied from any 3rd party source.
b. agree that I have not used any clip art or image from a 3rd party source in the winning design.
c. agree to transfer the ownership rights of the winning design to the contest holder Risk Communication Advisors Ltd liab. Co.
"
We'll send you a template before the end of the contest in case you've been selected and will kindly ask you to sign it and return it by email before we officially choose your logo. It's the standard mycroburst statement so don't worry too much about it we just need it for tax purposes.

We're also interested in working with you on additional projects such as advertising materials etc. after this contest in case your work is great (and it will be if we choose you!)

Have fun and good luck!

Xavier

Draft #45&49: could you please move the line drawn across the three letters UNDER them I don't like the symbolism of the acronym being crossed off thanks

Just be careful with the red; it's a good idea to include a tinge of it as it is generally associated with risks and threat but too much makes the whole thing look like a logo for a fire brigade

Come on guys I need a logo! I've seen many great works so far and you know my favourites but I'm convinced there's room for improvement and polishing up!

If you need inspiration just google "reputation risk cycle curve" or "issue lifecycle" It would be great to symbolise into the visual the passage from risk to crisis

Hello folks, Just an idea: could you try to build in something which symbolises the exchange of messages between stakeholders (a sort of network)? But please not on a globe. Thanks!

Besides, the upwards arrow does not make any sense to me as we are not an investment firm and do not have any link to the stock market

Thanks for your drafts folks but please read the Brief, no globe it's way to common. I'm not very fond of the figures neither. I also realised that rather sobre colours is the way to go (max 3). Drafts #5 & 9 are my favorite so far, draft #1 is in the spirit, but perhaps a bit too plain. Keep up the good work!
