Logo for authentic, gourmet pasta bar

A gourmet pasta bar, the concept being authentic Italian pasta cooked to go, following a fast food model. Whilst the cuisine and idea is to produce traditional, authentic food, the entity will have a fun, modern twist, whilst conveying an upscale, elegant and professional image.
The logo must NOT contain tacky imagery (for example; Italian flags, chefs, chef’s hat, pasta, frying pans etc.).

No more than three colours to be incorporated in the design, happy to settle with two if better suited. Preferred use of colours would be a warm/welcoming colour such as red, in addition to the simple black/white combination. This however, is at the designer’s discretion.

Given the long-term vision is to become a gourmet franchise, a logo conveying a professional and quality service is required. Moreover, the logo needs to keep simplicity for its use in labelling on takeaway bags, serviettes etc.
