My existing logo reflects the idea of "transition" (with an image of a butterfly - Vanessa means "butterfly", as well - I like the double meaning). I coach professional speakers in business strategy, marketing and product development skills. "By Design" in the company name represents the idea of change or transition, such as "on purpose" or "with intention". The concept of change, transition and moving toward goals would be important.

BLUEs and PURPLEs- I'm open to how you utilize and blend these and if you feel that there are other colors that would work well. I used RED in my marketing materials where I want information to pop. I also use GREYs for text and background design elements.

I'm ready for something new.... however, I'm not sure how far I want to stray from the butterfly. :) Surprise me! And have fun.
I work with professional speakers (most are in the dental industry). I DON'T want the logo to feel "Dental", however I am open to exploring the concept of public speaking in the logo. So many speakers use a microphone in their logo and it is really overdone. If you feel inspired around the idea of "speaking", I'd love to see what you create.
