Lexivolve is an online multi-language lexicon - we concentrate on colloquial language sharing, providing a dictionary-like resource for people learning new languages, particularly those who primarily learn through communication with native speakers. We specialise in spoken dialects, including specialist and slang words, alongside the common entries of traditional bilingual dictionaries.
Our database is user-populated, thus community is at the heart of what we represent. We use social incentives to encourage users to frequently visit and contribute to Lexivolve. Our vision is to include as many of the 6000+ world languages as possible.
We want global appeal with a logo that conveys a world community, and a fun, modern, sociable approach to learning languages.

We envisioned a globe being part of the logo but are open to further ideas. A sense of evolution and revolution should be captured, which we felt was aptly captured by the globe, particularly with regards to world languages. Also something to suggest connection/interconnection between people.
