The term Tao (pronounced "Dao") means "way", "path" or "principle", Tao denotes something that is both the source and the driving force behind everything that exists.

The mission of the company is to acquire high yield (distressed) real estate investments on behalf of the company and its investors. Our founder has strong beliefs in doing business with absolute integrity and honesty. The DAO Funds has dual meanings - it stands for The Distressed Assets Opportunity Funds and it also represents the fundamental belief in conducting business in reflection of Taoism by actively choosing the virtuous "path" of truth, honesty and "the way" in which to generate true long term lasting wealth. The investor clients of the DAO Funds are investors with a net worth of over $1 million USD. The investors come from all over the world and are typically 50 years old or older. The logo needs to communicate strength, truth, virtue, stability and wealth. It needs to be accepted by the Asia/Pacific Rim countries as well as the Middle East and the Americas.
